My husband has hearing like an elephant. He can hear everything! He claims this is the quietest inn he has ever stayed at. It's relatively new, restful and the staff were welcoming. The breakfast needs a little help -- the donuts could clog arteries in one bite...which I guess is the point of such delicacies.

Short drive from hotel
Before you visit Clear Lake, call the Chamber and ask them to send you their events listing. This town is fabulous for creating some unique, fun events like the Leisure Suit festival or the Pirates Cruise. Be sure to get to the west side of Clear Lake if you like pristine areas.....two towns people gave the Nature Conservancy and the Iowa Department of Natural Resources pristine lakeshore property that is undeveloped. It was gorgeous. This land is close to Muskies, a restaurant and you can sit on their patio, sip on a drink and watch the sunset. Sweet.

nice place to stay
I used this hotel for a personal visit and found it to be quite comfortable. The room was nice and spacious and was very quiet. I was treated respectfully upon arriving and the whole staff was very friendly. I would definitely recommend to anyone staying in the Clear Lake area.

Very Accommodating
I have only one minor thing. I slept on a roll way bed. I had a good nights sleep, but the bed was not wonderful, however I have slept on worse. Hotels should put as much care into the roll way beds they have on hand as the regular beds. I know this is possible, as I have slept on some that are wonderful.

Dining is near by, as well as a lake for recreation. Some shopping close by but in a few miles is a large shopping area. I would recommend this hotel to friends.
