Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites CEDAR RAPIDS-I-380 at 33RD AVE

We stayed at this hotel while visiting our son who is at college in Cedar Rapids. Glad we hired a car as we couldn't walk anywhere as this hotel is just off the highway. There was a nice restaurant "Perkins" next to it which served good food all day, highly recommend this place. The hotel was nice and clean and what you would expect from a Holiday Inn. the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was a self-service buffet type, which has a small selection of various items (scrambled egg, muffins, pastries, pancakes, juice, yogurts etc) so you were not left hungry. A bit disappointed with the fitness suite, very small and 2 x treadmills and one exercise bike with a weight machine in the corner, but I suppose it does the job. The pool looked inviting but I didn't have any swimwear so couldn't try it. All in all we would stay there again as it had everything we needed in a hotel.

Hotel was clean, nice. Room lived up to more than my expectations. It was prefect for what my family needed it for and for the perfect price. Very happy with our stay and would recommend the hotel to others.

I have never cared much about loyalty to a particular hotel chain, but now I will always look for Holiday Inn Express over other similarly priced chains. The facility is 100% smoke free and you can smell the difference. The staff was competent and friendly. The room was clean--even the carpet felt clean. The beds are made only with washable bedding--no bedspreads to wonder about. The breakfast had a broad selection and was not the same each morning. My only advice is that if you stay there, please don't slam the door over and over late at night and early morning! I might be sleeping there!

No problems and what you'd expect for a quality experience in the Holiday Express / Hampton / Fairfield segment. Manager's beer reception in the late afternoon was a nice touch- Linenkugel's, Mike's Hard Lemonade, cookies, snacks, 2 drink coupons per guest. Breakfast was great - pancakes, biscuits and gravy, ripe fruit, yogurt, etc., and always well-staffed. Room was clean and comfortable. Good shower pressure and temperature. Wi-fi access was free and fast-enough. Lobby computer and printer worked for printing boarding passes. No problems and good stay!

This is the second time around for our family and as with the first the service was excellent. The breakfast was wonderful. Staff is very friendly. Again the only thing that would add to this stay would be a small fridge in the room. Definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Newly renovated Holiday Inn Express very friendly and accomodating staff. Our room with 2 queen beds was large. Clean. Breakfast was the same as others but attendant was very friendly.

Good for quick overnight business stay. Very nice personell. Great breakfast in morning.

My stay was very, very pleasant. The location is ideal and easy to access, just right off of I-380 (Hawkeye Downs). Very convenient. The staff was very courtesy and accommodating. Breakfast buffet was very clean wee stocked and delicious. Excellent housekeeping Services. The room was clean and comfortable. The parking lot was well lit. No problems there!!!

Was there for a family wedding. Location is in an industrial-type area with a coffee shop and a few fast-food restaurants. Uncomfortable beds, No refridgerator in room, and work-out room could use some updating. Nice pool/jacuzzi area. Easy hwy. access. Breakfast was decent although staff running it were less than friendly. View from our room was a pile of trash/debris and listened to the freight train running throughout the night.

The room was a perfect place to fall asleep after long days of reuniting with former classmates; it was quiet, spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The complimentary breakfast had many healthy options; hot items were hot and cold items fresh and cold. I was traveling alone and felt very safe and secure both inside and in the parking area.
