hotel was well kept.... nice pool..... polite and resposivfe staff......would gladly stay again .... breakfest ....well it's only a continental style which is fine ....but this day the eggs were horible!

flying into Cedar Rapids Airport is VERY $$$ ..... maybe try Quad City? might even be worth the 2 hour drive from DesMoines

One night get away
Took a one night trip to Cedar Rapids, Iowa and stayed at the Baymont Inn and Suites. The hotel was great. The rooms were clean and decorated beautifully. The staff was very helpful in finding places to hang out and to eat a good meal. The indoor pool was heated and nice. The only issue I had was my room phone didn't accept any phone calls, and I didn't find that out until it was time to leave. I'm sure they would have fixed it if I had found the issue earlier. Overall, it was a great hotel with great people. I will be staying there again soon!

The hotel is just a few minuets from downtown, and all the fun happens downtown Cedar Rapids on Friday and Saturday nights.

Clean and comfortabel
I travel to Cedar Rapids about three times a year for work. This was my first time staying at Baymont Inn. I stayed for only one night. The place was clean and comfortable. I was impressed by the fact that they actually had HD channels to go with the flat screen TVs. It's surprising how many hotels have HDTVs, but not the signal.

Only mediocre
Motel conveniently located close to shopping and restaurants. Have stayed frequently in a Baymont in Springfield MO and loved that particular motel Unfortunately this one did not have the modern updates in the rooms. The vanity outside the bathroom was very cramped. We had a sofabed and the bedding did not look crisp and clean. They was no mattress protector, only a thin sheet covering the mattress which I found very off-putting. Would prefer clean sheets, blankets etc be put in a closet and the bed could be freshly made up without the suspicion that the sheets might not have been changed from the prevous occupant. Had trouble w a sluggish toilet for which we eventually had to make a trip to the front desk for a plunger - when we called the front desk re the problem they said they couldn't bring it to us, we would have to come get it! Probably will not stay at this particular Baymont again.

Good location and decent for the price
This was a business trip for Rockwell Collins which is next door. It would of been nice if the room had a small fridge and microwave. When I was here before, some rooms had fridge and microwaves. I enjoyed the free snacks they offered from cookies, apples, wings and soup. They have the best wings! They offer this tuesday, wednesday and thursday from 5 - 7 PM. The breakfast room is small and you usually end up taking your breakfast back up to your room.
