Not worth the money!

This hotel wasn't worth the money we spent for the night. The hotel was under renovations. During the night, the parking lot iced over, and wasn't de-iced in the morning, making it very slippery. We could hear everything going on in the hallways and in the rooms next to us, making it difficult to sleep. That all being said, the staff was pleasant and accommodating, and the beds were comfortable. Unless the renovations make drastic changes in the hotel, though, we won't book here again.

Parent Visit

The nicest hotel in Cedar Falls.

It is a very nice hotel. It is my top choice of places to stay in Cedar Falls.

clean hotel but internet down for 4 days

Nice people but I rely on internet service and there was none for all 4 days with no one offering a solution

Great hotel, one minor issue

The room was great, no issue. Clean non smoking room with plenty of space. The one issue I had was the internet connection was down for three days, my entire stay. This includes the internet connection in the business office. This made communicating with my office a bit more of a hassle.

Thanksgiving retreat

We've stayed at other hotels in Cedar Falls, but this was by far the best hotel experience. We could tell Wingate focuses on hospitality. The staff was very friendly and welcoming even though many were working on Thanksgiving Day. The beds were comfortable, plush bedding, flatscreen tv, fridge, safe, pool. We were impressed all the way around. We hope to make it our holiday tradition.

Short drive to Wal-mart and Target, College Square Mall, and plenty of restaurants. (We didn't check out dining options at the hotel.)

Comfortable place to stay

Nice pool, clean rooms, and quiet location. Wireless internet was a little slow at times. Fitness center equipment could be updated but adequate. We did not appreciate the two smoking rooms next to ours.
