Great Stay for the Money

I normally stay at Choice Hotels when travel for business, but for the same money, I was able to stay here. The room, location, and ammnities were generally nicer than what i get at normal hotels. Only complaints were lack of a free breakfast (not that continental breakfasts are that great), and the taxes are higher than typical hotels. Being a short, indoor walk from the Isle casino was a nice plus - didn't have to drive anywhere for food and entertainment. i will look to stay here again next time business takes me to the Quad Cities area.

Isle Casino * Hotel Bettendorf

The staff was not friendly at all. When I first arrived there was a gentlemen at the front counter and he was on the phone and as I patiently waited for him to get off the phone, he put the customer on hold to get a pen and he didn't even acknowledge that I was there. A simple hello or smile or I'll be with you in a second would've been enough. Then when he helped me out, none one smile. It was as if he didn't want to be there and it was a burden for him to help me out. Then every time I walked past the front desk no matter who was there, didn't say hi or goodbye or crack a smile or anything. One thing I can say for sure is that the staff is not friendly at all. I don't want to be friends or talk it up with the staff but at least say hello, smile or goodbye. This is after all a customer service environment. The rooms were nice though.

A little less than I hoped for

The room was small and not that comfortable. We went to buffet and the snack shop and food and service was average. Pool was cold and full of children that security did little about. Needed something from housekeeping and had trouble getting hotel operator and later the actual item from housekeeping. I paid more for this hotel than many places and did not get much service or even breakfast!

Fun-filled Day

The room was very nicely decorated and very clean. definitely worth the price. The Casino was old and smoke-filled and did't have a large variety of slots to chose from. We stayed in the Paradise Tower which was very nice (new tower) but the location to the pool is at least one city block away (make sure you wear a cover-up.) Overall it was a nice place to stay if your looking for the best bang for your buck!

Trip was mostly good...

We ate at Fairadays.. great steaks, a little pricey but worth the $$... sides were just OK..probably not worth the extra $$ and service was pretty slow. When sitting at poker bar... was not offered service had to wait and finally got someones attention to order beverage. Big problem in the poker room... loged complaint with the boss in charge...Seem to have a lot of locals playing that get "preferential treatment". One player was extremely rude to several players and to the dealer.. thought he could play everyone's hand and proceded to tell us we couldn't play and didn't know what we were doing... and we should probably go drink... totally uncalled for behavior and yelled at us for staying in hands.. and he did break up the game.. Will be awhile before I want to go back there..
