Birthday celebration for my wife
The room was very nice but AC was too cold & when we tried to adjust it warmer it kicked in heat. Not clear instructions on how to adjust the AC. Needless to say we didn't sleep that well in a warm room,but the kicker was the college guys two doors down who slammed their door repeatedly from 11:30 pm til after 1:00 am. They left their beer bottles litering the parking lot so obviously the staff wasn't aware of the partying!

although stated upfront that kids under 12 eat free at breakfast, I had to pay the half price for my daughter's breakfast for the reason I didn't quite understand. The charge to the breakfast ($9.95+tax and tips) is too high for a simple breakfast buffet without any individually cooked hot dish

Best hotel in Des Moines area
We go to Des Moines every year to visit freinds. This is the best hotel we have stayed in. I will definately book this hotel again nest year. The only negative was the coffee pot. Most hotels have a 4 cup pot. This one only made one cup and used pre measured coffee pods so I couldn't use the coffee and filters that I brought with. The pool was great and well stocked with towels. My grandkids had a wonderful time.
