Staff was friendly and courteous. Breakfast was delicious. Pool and hot tub was relaxing. Room was clean and comfortable

Missing skirt lady!
Great Stay - They stole my skirt!
The staff and hotel was great. While we were there everything was great. However, when I returned home I discovered that I had left a BRAND NEW $65 skirt in the dresser. I called back in less than 24 hours and asked to have it shipped to me. Well they never called me back and when I called them they told me "nothing was found". I find it very unlikely that the skirt disintegrated. They said no one had used the room since I had left. So where did my brand new skirt go???? Very disappointing!

Excellent accomadations for the price
The Grandstay Residential Suites, Ames, IA was exceptional for the price. The staff were friendly and very attentive. The kitchen was fully equiped for four people. The laudry basket for dirty towels and such was a nice touch. We did have to ask for linens for the sofa bed. The room had no flat sheet and the blanket felt like rubber. The staff was very appologetic. I would use extreme caution in the the tub. The soft water combined with soap make for a very slippery surface dispite the antiskid surface. Also, the tile in the bathroom and pool are also slick. Despite the fact I fell getting out of the pool we will definitely stay here agian. The experience was wonderful and the location was convenient.

They have a Chicago Pizzaria attatched to the hotel and across the street is an excellent BBQ restaurant. In addition, the hotel is located on a street that has a large variety of dinning and shopping options.

Very comfortable accomidations
The GrandStay residential Suites provided a clean comfortable room with outstanding amenities for a reasonable price. It is convenient to access Old Chicago resturant right from the Hotel. We will definately stay at this hotel again and would not hesitate to recommend it to friends.

Hickory Park is only a short walk and it has the best ribs in the midwest.
