Great location in quiet Ames
Really enjoyed my stay. There was a nice running path nearby that went to the university. Breakfast was nice. Staff was helpful.

Stayed during the Iowa games. Really close to campus which was nice. The pool was pretty small and with all the people staying it was hard for kids to have a good time in the pool.

Good Location, Comfortable Room
We were in town for college orientation at Iowa State. The hotel is very conveniently located near the campus, as well as the main shopping & food parts of town. Rooms are good size and beds are comfortable. Sink is outside of bathroom area, which makes bathroom larger, room near door a bit tight. Good sized refrigerator for your drinks and snacks. The included breakfast was the only truly mediocre element; bacon and eggs, waffles, cereals. Very small bagels and muffins. Not bad, just not good. We would probably go back.

The staff was very friendly, check in was easy and the lobby was beautiful. I had requested a non-smoking room but when I opened the door to our hallway, smoke was all I could smell. I'm not sure if the smoking was upstairs or next to us, but I didn't feel like we had a non-smoking room. Continental breakfast was great. Other than the smoking issue, we had a good time.

Very Good
My stay was very enjoyable. We just wanted to relax on our travel for a few days and found this hotel very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Also, the location was excellent, right off the interstate and about a mile from Iowa State University.
