Lottery Celebration

Nice place to stay for the money
My stay was fine at the hotel. A nice continental breakfast. Looks like their is still some small remodeling going on, but nothing that negatively impacted my stay. It was a good value, and I would stay again.

Think it was the big Steer restaurant...great steak, little pricey, but staff was very helpful. Didn't like the $6 plate charge if two people split an entrée but staff worked around it.

Comfortable Bed
The Altoona Inn was close to Prairie Meadows Casino and to the interstate. The hotel was clean comfortable and had very friendly staff. It is an excellent choice for value and function. The only compliant I had was the toiletries provided were less than spectacular. Otherwise a wonderful stay.

Very close to Prairie Meadows. The casino runs a shuttle out to this hotel.

Iowa State Family Weekend
We stayed here two nights recently for ISU's Family Weekend and had two excellent night's rest. Quiet Motel with the most comfortable beds and pillows! Clean rooms with all the necessities we needed. Everything was in excellent condition. The continental breakfast was your typical selection. Small eating area. Small lobby area. Overall, the best value of a motel that we've stayed at in years. 35 minutes from ISU in Ames. We will definitely stay here again for our next visit to ISU.

Iowa Speedway Convenient

Complete remodel!!
Wow they did a complete remodel. We had stayed at this place a couple years ago when it was Heartland Inn and said we would never go back. Someone told us that Best Western had bought this place and did a remodel so we decided to try it. The rooms look fantastic, beds are new and very comfortable, beautiful decor, new flat screen TV. My only complaints are the room refrigerator and the cabinet that holds it, frig door needs to open the other direction,kind of a pain to get at. The location was very conveinent
