Value rooms and pool just a stroll from Hawaiian beaches
The locally owned, family-friendly Maui Seaside Hotel offers a range of bright accommodations - ideal for those on a budget. All rooms have a spacious, relaxing vibe, with ample access to either a balcony or lanai (veranda) - and many have ocean views. For leisure, guests swim in the outdoor pools, or head to the on-site Coconut Grill for Hawaiian breakfasts and dinners. Many sporting activities are available locally for the active set, including golf and windsurfing from some of the best windsurfing beaches in the world, just a few kilometers away. Free Internet access is offered in the lobby. Car parking is available on site (fees may apply), and there are coin-operated washing machines for guest use.

Good Basic Hotel

The rooms were clean and the staff friendly. This hotel is located well and it was easy to get to most of the best site seeing spots on the island. The pool ias not heated and seemed very cold. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone looking for value and on a budget.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

The drive th Hana and Haleaka can be trecherous and one should leave ones self a little extra time to go slowly and enjoy the views.

Good value

I went to Maui for cycling training camp and brought my bike along on the plane. This hotel was affordable, conveniently located. It has on-site good restaurant (Coconut Grill) they give you free breakfast vouchers to. The 3 choice breakfast was way better then your typical "continental". They serve it 7am-11am so I'd often make my own early breakfast, go for a 2-4h ride, come back and use free breakfast coupon at Coconut grill for a brunch. Kahului is central to all the best road cycling routes on Maui has to offer: West Maui Loop (60miles), Halekala climb (80miles), ride to Hana and back (102miles). I realized I did not even need to rent a car (and pay extra to upgrade to SUV so it'd fit my bike box). I had only driven that car 8 miles ;-) Hotel is 3 miles from airport and all the shopping is in walking distance. Next time I'll just take a taxi. The hotel beach was empty and all to myself, too.
