Low price, but you get what you pay for.

the Maui Seaside was not quite the hotel we envisioned from the advertisement's photos or descriptions. But for the price, fair enough place to store luggage while out and about exploring Maui.

Cheap. Not recommend.

It is cheap. Go somewhere else if you can afford. Beach is very small. It is better to get a hotel in Lahaina.

cheap hotel

On the mainland this would be one of those $39 per night places in the wrong part of town. Here it is $139. The carpet was wet after a rain shower. Room was shabby and old. Free breakfast was worth the price paid. Avoid.

Horrible Hotel! Stay Away!

**CAUTION** This hotel is a DUMP! There were BUGS in the room, the bathroom fixtures were falling off the walls, the window air conditioner was set into a hole cut into the outside wall, and it sounded like a BUS ENGINE, (and so did the one in the room ABOVE US), the blankets resembled BRILLO PADS; they served HORRIBLE FOOD at the restaurant; the pool not only CLOSED at 6pm every night, but was ICE COLD and contained ZERO chlorine. They charged 20 CENTS per minute for internet access, the front desk had no area maps available, the "scenic bay" behind the property was actually a ship loading dock, and overall, the entire stay was DEPLORABLE! Since there were no other hotels available by the time we checked in, we were forced to spend 8 days in this HOLE. Even the "free breakfast" ordered "from the menu" was a lie. FALSE ADVERTISING all the way! They gave us little slips of paper that offered three (3) breakfast choices, as if this was the "menu", but we were NOT allowed to choose anything from the restaurant's breakfast menu! The servers in the restaurant clearly did NOT want to be there, and each morning, when the food DID finally arrive, it was always either over-cooked, or cold. And as their ad says, "wake up early..." this wake up service is provided by the maintanance crew that begins pounding on things at 7 am! Do yourself a favor and choose ANY OTHER HOTEL in the area but this one!

Good for that one nighter before an early departure.

The price is right for this motel compared to most other hotels in the area. They do nickel and dime you with a $5.00 parking fee and $10.00 internet fee however. There is a nice pool area to relax at. No need for an alarm clock as their are wild Rooster's wandering around the parking lot next door to wake you up in the morning...lol.

DO NOT STAY HERE !!!!!!!!

Two stays here in the last 10 days. Small amount of clothing missing the first stay. Second stay all belongings and money and license stolen from pool. Police reports filed but staff no help at all. Was told by other guests that the criminals are regulars here. Stay at the name brand hotel by the airport. Much safer and there won't be bums sleeping on the property like what happens here.

The hotel location was ...

The hotel location was beautiful and the landscaping and the upkeep was great. I was very unhappy with the way things were set up but the property was something to see all on its own. Thats all that I can say that is good though. Also, the maids were very friendly and I liked them alot. The people running things however are all family and they are very uncomforting and almost rude they are so short worded with you, they offer no options and no reasoning to make your stay with them enjoyable.

so so housekeeper

the housekeeper didn't put the new soap everyday even though I ran out the soap. I needed to go to the frontdesk to get a new one by myself, and the hotel didn't have the hair dryer in the room, it's a little bit inconvenient.

Customer Srvice needs work

The Seaside Hotel was an old hotel that seemed clean but out dated. The hallways smelled strongly of paint. The best thing was a small window air conditioner. The worst was the staff at the continental breakfast that consisted of cheap donuts and pastries. They were watching like hawks. Wierd. Also, they had a buoy line in the middle of the pool to separate the shallow end so you could not do any lap swimming. Glad we only stayed one night.

Hawaii Surprise

It was very surprising the Hotels in Hawaii are very outdated and run down. It wasn't so much that the hotels are old is that they are not very clean or well kept.
