This is a great quite getaway with a pleasant local flair. Away from the tourist scene and high priced hotels. I will stay there on the next trip.

Good deal for the price.

The hotel is older and dated somewhat but a great buy for the price. It is very clean. The room was large and the bed was very comfortable. The pool was not heated but it was nice. There was beach front if you wanted to play in the ocean. We plan to stay there again when we return to Maui.

Eh, not someplace I'd stay again.

The hotel appears to be cheaper than most of the others, but it really isn't after the "incidentals" like $5 a night to park and $10 a night for wireless internet. For another $15 a night you can get a resort type facility. The facilities were clean and the staff was friendly. This hotel is a good, central point to anchor. It is, however, not colocated with the "resort" areas like Lahaina or Kihie.

small rooms

We booked this hotel for the last 2 nights before taking off, because it's close to the airport. The value doesn't correspond to the price at all; before staying here we had been in a great resort in a beautiful suite for a just a bit higher price. The room was clean, but extremely tiny. No free Wi-Fi Internet. The hotel pool had ridiculous opening hours (closing way too early and opening too late) and it looked so inviting...

Cheap so be prepared to pay for extras

This was my second stay at this hotel within the last three months. I still have a problem paying $5/day for parking when it is free at the hotel next door. I paid for the upgraded "garden view" which I thought would overlook the pool... but it didn't (It overlooked a sort-of courtyard between the two buildings.) If you are looking for a nice beach on the hotel property, look elsewhere. If you are looking for quiet, look elsewhere. Food in the restaurant was ok but I got more and paid about the same for better food down the street. Really liked the Interent access in the lobby (even if it costs .20/min or .75/page printed).

Dining tip: Short walk from hotel

Property is not a far walk away from Whole Foods/Maui Mall or the Queen Ka'aahumanu commercial center where there are a few more restaurant choices along with about 100 other stores. Use extreme caution when crossing the streets as many of the drivers would rather try to run you over than grant you a little "aloha" courtesy when crossing the street. I recommend driving to Ma'alaea or Lahaina for more food and shopping choices. Look in the Maui Guide for suggestions and coupons.
