The Big Island
The whole experience was great. we arrived early and our room wasn't ready so they put us in another room with a better view. Only one concern, my husband left an opened package of M&M's on the desk and we had ants the next morning. Our room overlooked the pools and even with the patio door open it was quieter than we expected. I was not happy with the Cheap Tickets experience, but they did deliver a nice trip.

Great location, nice hotel
The hotel was in a great location next to many shops and a few restaurants and a convenience store which make it an excellent choice. We thought the lobby and grounds were beautiful. Three hot tubs meant you usually could have one all to yourself. The walk both up and down the beach from the hotel were really beautiful. The bed was also very comfortable. It is a little windy on this side of the island, that was about my only complaint.

Waikoloa Marriott Experience
My husband and I went to the Waikoloa Marriott for vacation this year. The hotel was beautiful and the location was great. Even though Kona is surrounded by lava rock the hotel does a great job with the landscape. It was nice to have the beach right in front of the hotel. It is a smaller, more relaxed hotel, as compared to the Hilton which is a short walk to the north. There are plenty of shops within walking distance and restaurants. We ate at the hotel a few times, which was nice. The 25.00 resort fee was pointless if you don't have a car or are not using the internet, and that's not including the tax they charge on top of that, whatever happened to complimentary? There is a water adventure stand on the beach, we went kayaking and snorkeling, reasonable prices. The luau was great, but the amount they charge is insane, but it was a good experience to have in Hawaii. We had a great time and would probably go back to this hotel.

Wonderful honeymoon getaway
All the hotel staff were polite and friendly. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The amenities were well taken care of and easily accessable. It was conveniently located near two shopping areas. Overall it was a very pleasant experience. I would go back in a heartbeat! The hotel restaurant was a bit pricy and it would be nice to have a towel station at the beach.

Pleasant stay
We stayed at the Marriott for 3 days at the end of our trip. We really enjoyed the grounds, pools, staff and the Saturday evening dinner buffet. The beach is nice, but rocky. Rooms are a little small, but beds were very comfortable.

Wild Hawaiian Ocean Adventures(WHOA) was truly the best excursion we did on our 10 day trip. Fun, fast boat ride in a Navy Seals combat raft, private snorkeling and excellent staff to show you things that you will not see on any other tour.

Great place to relax
This hotel has two very nice swimming pools. There is also a separate sand bottom pool for children. The room was nicely furnished. The kiing sized bed was very comfortable. The TV is a little dated. I have come to expect flat screens in top notch hotels. Also, another draw back is that only wired Internet is available in guest rooms. Not a problem if you are traveling with a laptop. However, tablets that use WiFi will only work in the lobby and the lower level cafe. The WiFi worked fine during the day. However, it was unreliable at night. A rental car is a must since the hotel is 25 miles from Kona. Also the self parking area is a long way from most guest rooms.
