Beautiful resort

Beautiful hotel with fantastic view and excellent grounds. I have a 2 year old who loved the walks and the abundance of wildlife (birds, fish, with free dolphin shows). There is a special pool for young children. The service was excellent, they were very accomidating with a late checkout so that our toddler could take a nap prior to our red-eye flight going out. Pricey for internet and parking, which is the norm for this type of resort.

Although I am attending a conference here, the resort type of environment and friendly staffs really make the stay very relaxing and enjoyable. Some of my friends with children also have a great time.

Great getaway and friendly

I can not wait to visit again. Mostly the friendly setting and staff made it great. May have been more expensive for food and drinks, but did not mind with such great personal service. All you had to do was ask.

Amazing Hawaii Trip!

It was a great trip! The hotel is huge so with children waiting for the tram or boat might be difficult and the walk is long. All the food and drinks were great. The dolphin adventure was the highlight of our trip! The hotel luau was a close second (highly recommend to upgrade for the extra $26 dollars, we sat right up front and they served us our food and unlimited drinks!) This is our 2nd trip to the Hilton and we love it. The fitness room leaves a lot to be desired but the classes and spa are fantastic!

Horrible Hotel, Horrible Room

My husband and I were on our honeymoon. We checked into the Hilton, it took us over 20 mins to walk to our room. No one told us the hotel is so big you need to take a tram car to get to your room (which only works half the time), walk which could take over 20 mins or take the boat which never runs. Within 5 mins of getting to the room, I was killing the first bug. Housekeeping came and sprayed, less than 30 hrs later I was killing another. After I called again told housekeeping how much I hated their hotel, they put us up in a suite. This room had no bugs but the shower had hair draped on the walls. I would never stay here again. Hotel is way too big for its own good. Tried to order a drink and because it was 3:58 and they didnt open till 4, they refused to take our order. We spent as little time in the hotel as possible!

Still a nice place!

This was my 2nd stay at the Hilton Waikoloa and it is still one of my favorites! Definitely worth the upgrade to the Lagoon Tower with Deluxe Ocean View. No beach access but the pools are fabulous. You've gotta try the Coco Mo drink at poolside. Poolside food was fair. By far the best restaurant on site is KPC with awesome fish dishes. Of course, its expensive too. Sushi menu at the Japanese restaurant is poor. My only issue about the Hilton is it is showing signs of wear...our bathroom door was chipped along the bottom. Many of the light fixtures around the hotel grounds are looking corroded, not major issues by any means but just not how it was 7 years ago when I visited.
