Spacious villas offer luxury, and nice touches include private lanais and Westin's notable Heavenly Bed. An on-site restaurant, markets and a casual poolside bar add convenience.

Great launching spot for Northern Kauai adventures

The resort is very nice, but not particularly Hawaiian. It was very nice, and was a great hub for our various hikes and adventures. They don't have a beach on the premise, but it's a short 5 min drive to the St. Regis which does have a fantastic beach that is open to Westin guests. If you have kids and are looking for a very nice resort with a pool, this is a great fit.

Great hotel

This was a wonderful hotel and we loved our stay here very much. We initially were upgraded to a one bedroom unit, but it was a 1st floor room that looked right into the parking lot. Fortunately, the staff was very accommodating and moved us to a studio that looked out to the golf course. We were very happy at that location. We loved being in building 6 because we had great access to the hot tub and pool that looked out onto the ocean. The double shower head was also amazing and the whirlpool tub was nice. The gas grills are high end, always clean and almost always available. They maintain the property extremely well and the staff is very friendly. This was an awesome place and the only reason for not rating it a 5 is that some of the small details tend to get missed. For example, the housekeeping crew came a bit early and if we were still in the room it was up to us to reschedule. Also, the parking fee is a rip off and as others point out, why not just include it in the price.

Great getaway

We totally loved the Westin! Great hotel and beautiful! Love that the pools were only 4 ft deep at the most! We lucked out and got an ocean view....sigh!!!! The only downfall was that power was out for 5 hrs on the day of my cousins wedding and when my auntie asked for some type of compensation all they said was it was beyond their control....not cool esp since she was the mother of the bride! Ughhhh!

Deserves its 4 stars

Outstanding rest place, very friendly crew but noisy roosters. The little Kitchenette was amazing. We've enjoy the views; in and outside the site. The beach was a little bit too difficult to reach. And I think, the bed is also as old as the hotel itself : 10 Years I did not like the $9 (plus tax!) a day parking with no place close to the room. This is the place for families or people who want to stay and rest

Very impressive facility, great location

Fantastic views, ample pool/hot tubs, very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable staff. Great access to nearby towns, hiking, kayaking/canoeing, nice beaches. Nicely appointed (new) rooms. Great BBQ facilities, they didn't miss a beat other than it would be nice to have an on-site spa.

Westin Princeville resort

It is a nice place, large rooms with nice setting. There is no direct beach access. The surrounding area is beautiful and Hanalei town is only a short drive from there. Not sure if I would stay there again just because I would have liked to have been closer to the water

Great Experience

Great location when visiting the north shore of Kauai. Quick trip to Hanalei and several beaches. The pools were relaxing and the views of the ocean were great. The amenities in the rooms (fridge, stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, etc.) make it easy to do some meals on your own... particularly with the several Weber grills available for your use.

Westin Princeville

Would definitely recommend for the price. The north shore is beautiful and relaxing. If you did not want to you would never have to leave the north shore as there are plenty of activities and eating options available. For the money the Westin was an extremely nice hotel and fit the needs of my new wife and I great!

Great; just a few things would have made it perfect.

The Westin is undeniably a gorgeous resort. The grounds are pretty incredible and I took a lot of amazing pictures just standing on our balcony, which looked in towards the restaurant lanai and pool area. Our room (a one-bedroom) was very nice. We upgraded to a king bed and it was well worth the small fee. The kitchen and bathroom were fairly spacious and modern. There were some smaller things that bugged us, but the only issues really worth mentioning were: 1) Lumpy mattress -- there were two big divots on each side of the bed and that's pretty much where you stayed. 2) It's $13 per day for parking, and they don't tell you this. They just give you a parking pass on day 1 and then present you with a $100+ invoice on day 7. 3) A lot of our dishes smelled bad, and some of the towels had a strong chemical smell. (They may also be in contention for Scratchiest Hotel Towels on the Planet). Overall though, we really enjoyed it and would stay there again.

Buy some fresh fish and maybe a marinade at the Foodland and grill it on the Westin grounds.
