North-shore villa resort offers room to move and sweeping vistas
Perched on a cliff, the 346-room Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas lies between the verdant green of the north shore's natural landscape and startling blue of the Pacific. The look and feel is upscale and modern with a nod to island style. Outside, neat lawns and expansive pool areas give way to vast, panoramic vistas of the pleated cliffs and mountains of Kauai. Spacious villas offer luxury, and nice touches include private lanais and Westin's notable Heavenly Bed. An on-site restaurant, markets and a casual poolside bar add convenience.
Highlights
  • Four pools, including one for children
  • Year-round Westin Kids Club for ages 5-12

Amazing Hotel

From the moment we arrived we were treated like the most important people in the world. We got upgraded to a 1 bedroom villa which was emaculately clean and beautiful. The staff was amazing and very attentive. The grounds are amazing at this hotel, there is literally not a leaf out of place. We will be back!

Resort?

If you have never been to a resort than maybe you would like this place, I found it annoying that the bars close at around 8 except for the one in the restaurant. It does not have any lounges for reading or relaxing except for in your run. It is much smaller than it looks in the pictures. Great location but way way way overpriced for what you get.

One of the nicest hotels we've stayed at

Very nice and clean hotel. Great staff. The onsite restaurant and pool bar food was delicious but the marketplace was slightly overpriced. The only drawback is that it is not on the beach. An added bonus is being able to hang out at the St. Regis since they are both Starwood properties. You can also put food and drinks from there on your hotel tab. The biggest plus is the beach there is amazing. The location is great if you are looking for a relaxing town. Everything to do is close by so you don't feel like you are missing out. Besides, if you feel like exploring, it takes less than 2 hours to get to the other side of the island. We've been to the islands 6 times now and would absolutely return to the Weston.

Wonderful honeymoon location

We upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom suite. The suite was awesome! The bed was comfy, the shower was great and the full kitchen was greatly appreciated as we don't like to eat out for every meal. The concierge staff was helpful in booking additional activities as well as pointing out some fun trails to hike. Overall, a wonderful experience at a fine establishment.

Decent

We had no issues with our stay at the Westin. They were very friendly and helpful. The only issue we ran into was that Princeville is pretty far away from most activities on the island. However, the North Short is the most beautiful part of the island you can stay in imo.
