Hospitality plus at Kauai Beach Resort
The resort had it all! The setting, amenities, staff friendliness, services....all were top notch. Prices were reasonable as well. Access to local shopping via shuttle would help those without vehicles. The outside pool bar is the only place for casual, fast food. OK except in inclement weather. A shelter would be an asset.

Fabulous Kauai
We only stayed one night because there was a mixup at our resort but this was a very nice hotel - exceptional service from all of the staff. Clean room with a nice ocean view. We had a really good dinner in the hotel restaurant/lounge. Great start to our vacation!

Verry Good Value
Four stars may be somewhat generous, but this hotel is in a great location and is a very good value. The resort has all the amenities you expect, although it is showing it's age.The lobby/restaurant areas are very nice, but the rooms feel somewhat dated. The staff was friendly and helpful.The beautiful beach was perfect for long walks. The central location makes it very easy to explore the whole island. Don't eat in the bar. The food is not very good, nor is the service.

Duke's Barefoot Bar and Restaurant near the Marriott in Lihue is a great place for drinks and food.It's not cheap but it is good.

Enjoyable stay.
Staff was responsive to my needs and I'm pretty demanding. Restaurant in hotel was mediocre; bartender was good. Resort was well maintained, with all staff member courteous.

Need a car to get anywhere & don't
Need a car to get anywhere & don't eat to be tied to the resort restaurant for all meals., eg shops as well as touring if you want to go on your own itinery otherwise book a tour. Lovely environment & great on site massage etc. Check in was very slow as many were trying at the same time with inly 3 staff. Beautiful location.

Bad experience
We stayed at this run down place for 2 nights. Although very close to airport beach was not the greatest. Our room was ocean front but poor view. Rooms had old stale smell with kind of old furniture carpets were dirty. I would say that everything in the holtel needed upgrade. It looked to me hotel which have been nice in 1970 and hasn't changed since. I must say not a four star anyway and may be a 2 star motel types with little more ammenities. Resturant awefully overpriced for quality of food. There are better resturants around. We stay in different resorts by far the worst experience among hiltons. Needs upgrade definetly would not recommend.

kauai Beach Resort
Very nice hotel. Great beachfront, but not swimmable. Major complaint: they charge $.99 per minute for internet access in their "business center," and there is very limited wifi access in the hotel. Kauai Beach Resort should offer complementary internet access in business center for their guests.

Great hiking all over Kauia. It's a small island, and you won't have to drive more than an hour to get anywhere.

Quiet Resort
The Kauai Beach Resort was a great hotel for the price. The rooms are clean. The pool is very nice and divided into sections - a sand pool, a kiddie pool with slide, a pool with volley ball net, and a regular 3'-6' section. It was quiet with a laid-back atmosphere. The pool bar has good, inexpensive food. The hotel restaurant is pricey, but not anymore than any other nice restaurant. If you like to be pampered, then go to the Marriott or Hyatt. Otherwise, this is a very nice place to stay for the price. We had reserved a garden view room but received a complimentary upgrade to ocean view just for the asking. Thanks Kauai Beach Resort! :) P.S. They charge for parking which is ridiculous because there are plenty of parking areas, and they charge for internet service in the lobby. :(

My stay on Kauai was Wonderful!!!! Kauai Beach Resort was one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed in. The staff (including houskeeping)was excellent and attentative. I went on several tours. My favorite was the Napali Coast Cruise. The only thing missing was more time to enjoy. Have to work!!
