Great 4 days 3 nights
The staff was helpful, some more than others. The top staff you could immediately select from the rest as they were superb in their relating to the guests. The room was great and well kept. It was quiet and elegant.

Westin in Maui
This was our second time here and it was another lovely experience. Everything was great - the view from our room was stellar, the pools are nice, the people are friendly. The only issues i have are 1) they charge an additional $25 a day for internet access 2) and on our last day there was jackhammer work around the building which made sitting on our balcony or being in the room out of the question.

Great Location, a little tired
The Westin is a good hotel in a great location. The rooms are a little tired but clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel. The staff was helpful and courteous. We did not know ahead of time that they charge a $25/day flat rate for basic internet (no Skype) and parking. That would have been nice to know. The hotel restaurants were good.

Westin at Kaanapalli
This was out first time at Maui and almost close to perfect experience. Westin is in the middle of rest of the resorts (Sharaton on one corner and Hyattt on the other side). Rooms could have been bit bigger for the price, but with perfect weather we spent very little time inside hence did not matter that much.

Westin Maui Kaanapali, Oahu, Hawaii
They negelected to inform any one they are doing major undertaking. We woke up at 7 every am to the sounds of jackhammers and power saws right below our window. We couldn't move cause they said they were book. After 4 nights, I went to the manager and they moved us to a different tower Same problem, just not quite as loud cause we were higher up. One expects a nice, quite Maui vacation with restful sleep after leaving the mainland. Not to know they were under construction is a ripoff for the price. Very disappointed they were not upfront about their construction remodel.

Love that bed!
The Westin is beautiful and makes you feel relaxed the minute you walk through the doors with the vision of the waterfall. The staff is friendly and willing to try and meet all of your requests. The best part is the Heavenly bed. Don't lie down if you have somewhere to go because you won't want to get out of the most comfortable bed. Had the best night's sleep in a long while. I'm seriously considering buying the set for home.

honest review of this hotel
we checked into the Westin on Thurs. night it was dark. Jan. 19th 2012 The young lady at the front dest said you have been upgraded...( per our request and extra money to do so) our room was nice very large. loved the kingsized bed. The bathroom looked as though it needed some updating. Because it was dark we couldn't see outside until morning. Our view was a roof, other building, and a little ocean. I was upset. I awoke early the next day so I showered and went to the front desk and complained of the bad view and disappointing room (we were next to the elevator in room 370) it was like being next to a rollercoaster all the time) I was told room reservations wouldn't open until 8:00 so I gave my cell number and asked for someone to call me...they never did. I called several times and never did get to speak with anyone. At no point no one ever asked us about how our room was when we were there or when we checked out. The breakfast package was good and we sat outside and watched the whales. The people there were very caring and nice, but the front desk staff is terrible and seem to hate their jobs.

Best location on beach
This is our second time at the Westin Resort and Spa. We love the location on Kaanapali Beach and being next to whalers village is a plus for cheaper lunch options than the resort food. Golf course within walking distance, whale watching tours leave from in front of hotel and snorkling at black rock along with paddle boarding and surfing out front. Great hotel overall, drinks and food by the pool way overpriced but like other resorts.

Go to the Gazebo for breakfast, have to wait in line for awhile but well worth the wait. It is at Napali Shores. Best pancakes on Maui and try the fried rice !

Good for family, busy atmosphere.
I didn't like having to have an arm band with the threat of a steep charge if a towel or parking ticket was lost. Parking places very narrow. Great for kids and could walk to shopping and good food. Several food deals at restaurant and near by. Early bird dinners etc. Tropica early meal excellent. I prefer a serene Hawaii experience with a natural environment. Our room had parking lot noise and work noise through the night. Elevator didn't always work. Construction noise for improvements in progress. I am spoiled. I was unable to get my starwood points because I used Cheap tickets which ate up my savings. Was very disappointed not to know that in advance.
