Love the villas!
We actually thought we were staying at the other Westin Hotel and was a little nervous about staying at the villas because of the location. We were very happy once we found out about the shuttle to and from the other hotels, loved the condo, the staff is so nice and helpful, the pools are terrific, the ocean out front is awesome for swimming and snorkeling. We will definitely stay at the Westin Villas again. Awesome trip!!

Nice hawaiian resort
Reasonably good experience at the hotel. Has a very nice pool and easy access to the beach. Food is expensive but that is expected of a tourist place like Hawaii. One grouse that I had was that for the price being charged I would have expected some basic food supplies such a milk, bread, etc lasting at least the first couple of days.

Weston review
Great place, super accommodating, beautiful beach access and the rooms are great looking, beds are super comfy. Overall awesome. Only thing that was not so good, there were a lot of "hairs" on the bathroom floor when we first got there-also they charge each night for parking, lame! But otherwise we loved it!!!!

Nice Getaway
The hotel is nice. However, a lot of things are for a fee, and the place really pushes its SPG points and ownership program. Great location by the beach. Scuba diving was amazing.

Perfect piece of paradise
Overall experience was excellent. Upgraded to 1 bedroom unit. They discounted the price of a garden view 1 bdrm and gave us an ocean view because that's all they had. Great deal. They also let you decline maid service for a 24.95 breakfast voucher. The breakfast buffet is good, although a little overpriced. The beach in front of resort is excellent, with swimming to the left and snorkeling to the right. Very easy ocean entry. The 1 bdrm unit includes a HUGE bathroom with jacuzzi, double sinks and shower. Unit had full kitchen, dining area, living area w/ hide-a bed, w/ king bed in large bedroom. Unit was very clean, although we noticed a food odor upon entering. Staff tried to use freshener to no avail. Wasn't noticeable after a minute or two. Suspect it had to do with the owner's cooking habits. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Resort supplies unlimited beach towels. Only possible complaint was a queue at the front desk that took some time with only one desk clerk. Not a big deal - just slightly annoying. (hence 4 stars for staff, though they were, without exception, polite and helpful) Didn't try restaurant, except pool rest.for breakfast buffet. Restaurant is Italian, which is not our taste and seemed a little pricey, even for Hawaii. They use a manual push lawnmower to cut the grass, apparently so as not to disturb guests with noise of a power mower. Nice touch!

Short drive from hotel
A great snorkeling site, Honolua Bay is north on Rt. 30 just past the 32 MM. There is a parking lot on the left just after you cross a narrow bridge. Additional parking short of the bridge. Although an on-line guide claims you need property owners permission, the trail to the beach was being used by general public with no apparent problem. Enter water at left - best snorkeling is on right side of Honolua Bay. If a good swimming/sunning beach is your thing, D. T. Fleming beach, about 1/2 mile south is great. Has huge parking lot, easy access, full facilities, including life guard.. If snorkeling charter to Molokini is in your plans, strongly reccomend Kai Kanani's Molokini Express. It's fairly cheap, includes a continental breakfast, has a great staff and you get to Molokini and the turtles before any other charters.

Just okay
Hotel was fine, it was clean and newer. We had a one bedroom suite and I thought the size was very good. The major fault I have with this hotel is how they market "ocean view room." We were on a second floor room and could barely see the ocean only if we were on the balcony and leaned out and peered through the palm trees. I also agree with others stating the hotel caters to the time share owners and whatever is left over goes to the hotel guests. My other big complaint is the large pool was being renovated while we were there. If I had known this before I would definitely not have booked. Why would a hotel remodel their best feature during the busiest month? While everything else was nice, between the indifferent staff and the construction, the place just left a bad taste in my mouth. I would not go back. There are too many nice places in Maui to stay at this place.

Scenic grounds!
This was such a lovely resort! Friendly staff and a relatively luxurious setting - our room was comfortable and had a kitchenette - we had a small balcony that you could stand on but not put a chair on which would be our only desire for next time. The valet parking was $12/day which we thought to be reasonable and it was always prompt. Although it is a giant resort it never felt overcrowded. There was a lovely beach walk linking several resorts in Kaanapali together. Great snorkelling right off the beach in front - we had an awesome stay!

If going in the whale watching season I would definitely recommend a whale watching tour- the Pacific Whale Foundation is a research non profit tour company that we went with and it was $30/ person and we saw lots of amazing whale action out on the water for 2 hours!
