The 12,000 square-foot Ocean Lawn is unprecedented in its breathtaking backdrop of Pu'u Keka'a, the Pacific Ocean and neighboring islands. The Anuenue Lawn, set amidst fresh Hawaiian ferns, is a perfect venue for festive affairs of up to 250 people.

Great Vacation!
Had a wonderful time. The location was perfect. Right on the beach with great snorkeling at Black Rock. There was also a nice beach front shopping area, Whalers Village, just a short walk down the beach. Breakfast at the hotel was pricey but a couple trips to the grocery store and on site Starbucks stand fixed that. Lots to do and see in the area as well. We'd recommend this to anyone!

resort fee
We did not use many of the amenities because we were too busy so the resort fee was not very helpful for us except for parkig fee.

Perfect!
The hotel was great, right in the middle of the action on the Ka'anapali/Lahaina strip. The Sheraton is on the Black Rock, which is another plus. Great snorkeling and its always fun to jump off the black rock. The hotel was great, and I loved being on the West Coast of Maui close to everything.

Eating breakfast in the hotel area starts at about 30 bucks a plate. We enjoyed going south to front street to places like Cheese Burger in Paradise (not the Jimmy Buffet chain) where it was about 8 dollars a plate for good food and a great view right on the ocean.

Wonderful Vacation
Our stay at he Sheraton Maui could not have been better. We asked for an upgraded room and they kindly obliged. The room was very well appointed with a fantastic view of the Black Rock and ocean. We slept with our balcony door open and, except for one morning when our neighbor chose to make a phone call very early in the morning from her balcony, it was very quiet and we could hear the ocean breaking on the shore. The food was way too expensive but no one says you have to eat there. The staff was helpful and friendly and there to help when you asked them. My only complaint was that people not staying at the Sheraton used the pool and deck chairs and if one is paying $26.50 a day for a resort fee then the staff should be a little more vigilant in enforcing the guests only privileges. Although we had no children with us, it was obvious that the Sheraton was very family friendly. The children seemed to really enjoy the child friendly swimming pool, with its special section for toddlers. We would stay at the Sheraton again.

Great Vacation
This hotel is beautiful and located right at black rock, which offers amazing snorkeling. There is not much to do at night at the hotel itself, but Whaler's Village (which is full of shops and some restaurants) is only about a 10 minute walk away.

In Hotel
If you swim around black rock, there is a large coral reef where you will see arguably just as many fish, sea turtles and marine life as you would on any snorkeling trip that you would pay for. It is not an easy swim back in though, so I would suggest having flippers or being an experienced swimmer to try it.

Paradise
From the second we stepped in the door I was impressed. It was stunning with the open air lobby with ocean views. The staff was amazing. We were early so they upgraded our room and gave us drink vouchers to pass the time while we waited for the room. The Sheraton sits on the best spot on Kanapali beach, protected by a cliff that everyone like to jump off of. The pool is beautiful and huge! The room was gorgeous and even though we were on the bottom by the walkways, it was very quite. We had a perfect stay.

Great Family Spot
The only reasons this didn't get a 5 star is the pool was cool and the beds uncomfortable. The hotel will provide extra padding for your bed if you ask which greatly helped. Location was awesome and the grounds beautiful. I snorkled but didn't see the sea turtles. I'm told they come out in the afternoon so if you want to see them try then. Dinning was expensive so we went to Front Street a lot.

The Best Resort on Kaanapli Beach
There is truly something majestic about this place, nestled at the base of Black Rock mountain. A vista and perspective that will take your breath away; A calm and shelter from an other wise sinister wind Maui gets often, converge to make this resort deserving of 5 stars. Its an older hotel but its been remodeled and thank G-d, not overly so. To me, lucky are we who can enjoy one of the few resorts located on such prime spot in the world that would permit large expanses of just grass and still have the crowd pleasing labrinth pool replete with a mini water slide and water falls.. It's a gift in the modern resort climate where designers of new resorts are compelled to clutter up every square inch with spectacle that makes one num after awhile. The staff at the Sheraton are exceedingly friendly down to every single maid, or towel boy we encountered. Evelyn, manager at the front desk, with her gentle mahalo spirit, specifically helped my family enjoy a vacation we will remember for years to come. Even the Mahi Mahi fish tacos from the Cliff Dive bar are fantastic. Thank you Sheraton for a very memorable experience. See you again soon.

This was our 2nd stay at the sheraton maui. As always a1st class experience. The staff upgraded our room to an ocean view. Staff was very friendly. Pool was great as always and you can't beat the location at black rock. My only small issue was that housekeeping missed our room for cleaning the 2nd day. other then that the sheraton is top notch. When we are in Maui again the Sheraton will be the place we stay.
