AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! Perfect Vacation
Hotel location, staff and experience was the best we have ever had! Upgrading to the Deluxe Ocean View is well worth the expense as it makes all the amenities (pool, ocean, etc.) close to your room. Best romantic getaway my husband could have hoped for!

Nice, spacious
Spacious grounds and great beach location. Other hotels on the beach may have nicer amenities, but they have less land and everything is very crowded. If you are ok with not as nice amenities as the Westin, but want more spacious grounds and better beach location stay here!

This hotel is super nice and everyone is very nice. We have stayed at a few other locations around there but nothing even compares. Food is a high on price but I recommend this hotel 100%.

Best Maui Location
The Sheraton at Black Rock Beach is the perfect location. Walk out of your room and snorkel with the giant green sea turtles & tropical fish. The pool and surroundings are nicely done, like a little Hawaiian village. There are two main pool areas, one for adults and the other for kids that are connected by a cool waterway that flows under bridges and has a small slide. The onsite Cliff Dive bar has nightly happy hour and live entertainment. The Mai Thai bar serves a great smoothie. There is a walkway that runs the entire length of the beach in front of all resorts, also to Whalers Village for shopping and food. The best views are from buildings 4 & 5, Ocean View Rooms. My only complaints are the extra costs for the use of shaded cabanas around the pool and for the beach. There is also a $26. daily resort fee. Rent your snorkel gear down the road at Boss Frogs $10 to $25/week -vs- $20 per day at Sheraton.

The Hula Grill at the Whalers Village serves a great Burger. My husband and I split it, and there was more than enough for both of us. Also, go between 3-5 pm for Happy Hour drink prices.

Great Location and Views
Very positive experience. We stayed during a time when it wasn't busy. Staff was friendly. Room was spacious and had a great view of the ocean. We liked the pool. The bed was comfortable, but not as nice as the Westin beds.

great location and great experience
Sheraton Maui has the best location in Western Maui. A perfect place for snorkeling and eating and anniversary celebrating. And the black rock diving ceremony was impressive. But for some reasons, the air conditioner in our room was noisy.

Oasis retreat
First time to Maui and after looking at hotel after hotel, picked Sheraton and am I glad we did!! We were upgraded to ocean view with a large balcony which I am so glad we did, how beautiful to sit out, looking onto the garden, pool and ocean view every morning. The outside areas were clean, well maintained, beautiful lights and tiki torches which were lit every night. Pool very fun having the lazy river attached, comfy lounge chairs and plenty of them.. Pools are next to ocean for easy dip between pool swimming and had great snorkeling area, cliff diver show every night. The whole resort area was so relaxing and open, it felt good to feel the breezes everywhere you went.. Convenient store near lobby and a Starbucks for early morning coffee and pastry on the balcony. The restaurant was expensive but open to garden area so did eat there once and it was pretty good, just expensive. We looked at other hotels around the area and for ambiance and a resort feel, you can't beat this. The resort is at the end of the hotel area so you didn't have people and noise from Whaler Village & restaurants disturbing you. There is a walkway to connect you to the village and lots of people walk it but it does not come in front of the Sheraton. I truly felt like I was in my own little oasis. The staff were very friendly and always greeted you with a smile. HIGHLY recommend! We went in September and this is a very quiet time. Be prepared, the rooms are not modern and while showing their age, were clean, ok in decor but the beds were comfortable, lots fluffy pillows.

great
You won't have buyer's remorse with this hotel. It is great. We got there off season and the person at check-in said they have enough rooms to upgrade us to a suite for minimal cost, or upgrade our room to a full ocean view at no cost. Wow! That was nice.

3rd times a charm
This was our 3rd year in a row staying at the Shearaton in Maui and our best. The front desk was most helpful with room upgrade and extended check out due to late flight. A very leisure vacation as both my wife and I work and we had done the tours the last two years. Will go back next year.
