Excellent Place
We spent the first six days of our honeymoon here. It was excellent! Great accommodations and great staff! Be careful about the free upgrade if you get one. Our original upgrade put us in a room far away from everything else. It was great for privacy and the room was really big and plush, but the view was not what we expected. They were great about moving us back to the room we paid for and we were really satisfied. It had a view of the mountains, pool, shore and island beyond! The beach and waterfront were great. Numerous turtles and fish were in the water just off the shore line at Blackrock! Great snorkeling! No reason to go anywhere else. The food was a bite pricey. We would recommend that you eat in the local town which is just a few minutes away.

Excellent vacation at the Sheraton Maui Resort
My wife and I stayed at the Maui Resort for the last eight days in September and we had a great vacation. The location of the resort is great: it's the last resort before the black rock, on a very quiet location. The resort is beautifully designed and landscaped. Checking in was easy, only took a minute, and personnel was very friendly. We were upgraded to a suite, which was really great. Room comfort of our suite was excellent. Nice bathroom, seperate bedroom and a 'living' room. Well decorated, two flat-panel tv's: one in the bedroom and one in the living area. The gardens are beautiful and very well maintained. The resort has a meandering pool which we really liked to swim in. Though it's a big resort, you're never under the impression that it overcrowded. Overall, we had a great time...

very well kept , friendly staff, great amenities
The Sheraton Maui was absolutely beautiful. It had all the amenities I was looking for in a resort. The staff was friendly and courteous and the property was very well kept. There was shopping and dining options within walking distance or very close to the property. I would definitly stay here again.

Staff very welcoming. Great atmosphere for adults
Love this hotel. The rooms are very spacious. We had our granddaughter with us (6) and staff was very very nice to her and to make her welcome and a part of things from the moment we stepped out of our car with a flower lai. Room was over sized witch made it nice. With a lovely view of the gorious grounds leading to the pool and out to the ocean. The Sheridan has the most fantasic beaches. Wonderful for walking or going in for a swim. Love love it.

The wonderful thing about the hotel is that is has a walk way along the water front that connects to all the hotels and the shopping center. So it is wonderful that you dont always have to get in your car for shopping or dinning.

birthday celebration
Sheraton resort itself is nice, next to black rock, nice sand beach, and walking distance to the whaler market place, but they need a major improvement on staff professionalism especially at the front desk. What happened to us with the front desk staff was very unprofessional and they need to have staff meeting ASAP. When we arrived at the hotel, we were nicely welcome by the valet staff and they sent us to the front desk to get our room key. The manager gave us free breakfast buffet and a bottle of champagne.

Spa like atmosphere, friendly and accomodating
The Sheraton Maui Resort was such a geat place to spend our vacation. Upon check in they had upgraded our rooms to adjoining ocean front rooms with a patio. So beautiful and so relaxing. We saw the sun rise and set over Black Rock every day. The beds were very comfortable with top quality linens and the rooms were very clean. The hotel staff from check-in to check-out were so friendly and helpful. The concierge service was superb in helping us plan our activities from the luau to parasailing to renting waverunners. They even arranged for late check-out accomodations on our last day so we could still use the hotel pool and services until we had to leave. It was a wonderful resort and I would highly recommend it.

Outstanding!
My wife and I celebrated our 20 year anniversary in Hawaii and went from Oahu to Maui (8/4 - 8/7/08), and back to Oahu. If you are going to Maui, this is a fantastic hotel to stay at! The property is right on the ocean, and we had an ocean front room to go along with it! Much of the hotel hallways and check-in areas are open-air, and the breezes feel great! This very well could have been one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in! My only gripe was check-in day. We arrived before 1:00, and the staff at the desk said they would call my cell phone when our room was ready. At 3:00pm (normal check-in time) I went back to the desk and was told my room had been ready, although I hadn't received a phone call. But we were given coupons for free drinks to use while we had been waiting, so all was good! We lounged by the pool - which is 142 yards of winding around fun! We also attended their luau. Good fun, but started at 5:30 and was pretty hot! it might have been better (and cooler!) if it was under a canopy. Dining at the hotel is pricey, so we ate at various places nearby. Plenty to choose from!

I highly recommend the Road to Hana. What a gorgeous drive. And buy the Road to Hana cd, which describes the drive mile marker by mile marker, telling you when to turn it off & back on appropriately! Make sure to allow all day for this, though!
