Great location and hotel
This hotel has the best location of all Maui. Right at the end of Kaanapali beach your room is only a few yards away from world famous snorkeling and beach life. The rooms were recently renovated and are nice and clean. There are also good breakfast deals. The Mai Tai bar was also renovated and is right next to the pool and the beach to bring you drinks. Also only a 5 minute drive to Front Street.

Nice view
This is a great place for family and couples. Its in a great location convenient to shopping and restaurants. The Black Rock is a great place to spend the day snorkeling. There are a lot of activities for the family. Learn to scuba. I saw a family with one floating air tank 5 hoses and a dive instructor, Looked easy. No large waves here while I was here so no big under tow. Couples sit at the bar at night and watch the cliff diver. The room was great. The valets were nice they were helpful and pointed us out some good places to eat. Front desk was helpful, the maids cleaned the room well.I would stay here again.

Rent a jeep its easier to see while traveling. The guard rail will block your view in a car. Buy the up grade now . it was a lot cheaper online than it was trying to upgrade at the rental car place. Drive the whole island. Some people make a big deal about the road to Hana. it was nice you will have to make a few day trips to see as much as you can. The most adventurist of us drove the coast on the west side not a lot of places to stop but great scenic views. The road was half as wide as the road to Hana. If you can drive don't go here. Keep your tank full before going here or to Hana you won't find any gas.

Excellent resort stay
We truly felt like "resortists" . The pool was a great place to relax with a fabulous view of the beach, ocean and Black Rock. Tennis and snorkeling were some of the activties we took advantage of. The breakfast buffet was delicious. We enjoyed the convenience of being able to walk to the other resorts , the Whaling Village shops and restaurants. The open air lobby views were so beautiful. We would definitely stay at the Sheraton again.

Staff and room
The staff coud not have been nicer or more polite. As were were there for our anniversary we were upgraded to a deluxe room facing the ocean. The only negative about this was trying to navigate around the hotel -- it is enormous.

Nice vacation
Great room, friendly staff. The snorkle equipment is too expensive and the breakfast buffet is too expensive as well. Other than that it was awsome.

First timer from Chicago
Employees not helpful.
First time in Maui and this hotel. Signed up for a sightseeing tour through a local company, so I needed to find out pick up spot. Called front desk and clerk did not know. transferred me to concierge's desk, did not know either, so he called manager who said it would be group pick up by the fountain. Could not find a fountain so I asked the parking lot attendant, who did not know either!! Finally another guest(?) directed us us. By the way the tour company said there would be lobby pick up. This hotel layout is so confusing the lobby is up the hill. All you can see as you pull in is the parking garage.

No value for price paid
Could not connect to the internet with WiFi. Was on call with tech support for over an hour and half in one day and then again the next day. Explained the front desk lady about the problem and she offered to waive the resort fee for the day. During checkout, we noticed the resort fee was not waived. We had to explain the complete scenario over again to get the resort fee waived. Totally unprofessional.
