Quiet and relaxing
Good hotel for the price. Room could use an upgrade, but we enjoyed having a kitchen to do meals on our own. A few restaurants within walking distance that are reasonably priced. Not much of a beach, but we did get to see sea turtles swimming just off shore every day.

Kahana Gateway shopping center is very close - Maui Brewing Company, great little coffee shop and a small general store. In the other direction there's a local pub and a fresh market as well.

Excellent hotel experience!
Hotel was clean and spacious and had all the annemenities we needed as a family. Was great to be right in the ocean, and the beach was beautiful.

Maui get a way
Clean, comfortable, good ocean view, kitchen w/ all the necessities. Located away from the busy tourist areas.

Mary's Comfort Inn
A great place to stay
We Set up various excursions through a representative located at this resort. The hotel employees were very friendly and helpful when we asked for any type of information. Their warmth and friendliness made our stay very pleasent. Our experience was very positive, and we will most likely return to this same resort on our next visit to Maui.

The resort is located right on the beach. You have the ocean right there and a sandy beach to walk on. There is also a beautiful pool available at this resort.

Good lodging for an extended stay
The Royal Kahana is a nice place to stay for extended stays because it has a full kitchen and a washer/dryer in every room. The facility is well kept, but not quite a luxury calibur resort. For those with a lot of excursions planned ORK a good 40 mins from the Paia and airport area which seems to be where a lot of that happens. We found ourselves driving back and forth almost daily. ORK is near Lahaina though which has plenty of shops and restaurants open late for entertainment. I was mildly disappointed that in-room coffee is not replenished daily, but rather sold at the front desk for $1 each.

Very Nice Accomodations & Check-in Clerk
The check in clerk was very accomodating. He was friendly and helpful. He made a perfect "first impression." The facility was a little old and dated - but not bad at all.

Great value for the price
The Outrigger Royal Kahana is a condo resort which is conveniently located about 10 minutes away from downtown Lahaina, between its famous neighbors of Kaanapali and Kapalua, which are also just a few minutes away. We got an ocean view studio, great value for the money. Very clean, great view of the ocean and the sunset, very well furnished, and full kitchen equipment and utensils, which we found very convenient. There was basically everything that you might need to feel at home. Definitely recommended if looking for a reasonable priced vacation on Maui, while not sacrificing any comfort.

All beaches in Hawaii are public so you can go to any beach you want to. There is a number of very nice beaches within 10-15 minute drive from the hotel where you can go to- North Kaanapali, Kaanapali, Kapalua, Honolua Bay.
