2nd trip to Hawaii.
Room was great with most all you will need for a great stay in paradise. Clean with a comfy bed and the view was fantastic. Parking is crowded during the evening hours but we always managed to find a spot. The beach area was very small but the pool was so close to the beach that it really didn't matter. The area is not crowded so if you want peaceful this is the place.

Family Vacation Diva
An ordinary condo
maybe it is because we stayed with a 4 star resort before this hotel, Outrigger Royal Kahana did not impress me with its old, outdated facilities. Hotel staff was very average and the room was not that well finished. The ocean view was interesting but the beach was not so great to enjoy in, so we had to drive to a different beach every time. I wish I did more research and chose another hotel/condo near a better beach.

In Hotel
Research the beaches on the island and pick a hotel next to one of the nicer beaches, it will make life so much easier, as you no longer have to drive very far and get frustrated by not being able to find a free place to park.

It was great!
We stayed at royal kahana for 5 days, It was at great location. We had a oceanview room with wonderful view outside patio. Hotel is right on the beach, which was great. It is also closer to most of the places within few mins of drive. Kanapali beach is closest. We enjoyed every bit of it. We booked all are activities via hotel concierge. Rebekah was very helpful to sign up for all our activities.

Go to nearby beaches and save on parking. You can rent snorkel gears from stores nearby and do snorkeling right off the beach outside hotel.

Great holiday
The Outrigger Royal Kahana is a great value, It is right on the beach, easy access to restaurants and highway and quiet. The only issue we had was that we were told we had a Queen bed and and a Queen hideaway, but it did not appear so. Not a problem, as it all worked out very nicely. Great friendly staff.

One of the best hidden secrets is a place called Okazuya that has outstanding food, and at reasonable places. Not much ambiance, but a good place to pick up dinner and eat on the lanai lookiing out at Molokai and Lanai. Yum!

It's a great place to stay for any age!
We have stayed at the Royal Kahana on our previous visits to Maui and have never been diappointed in the quality of our room and view. I recommend it as a place to stay when you need to get away from tourist crowds. The beach is adequate and in walking distance to several restaurants and shops.

Noise Neighbor Hotel, Cold Staff
The gym or hotel next door was VERY noise. Construction noises at 8:00 am. Blasting music from the gym muted the sound of the ocean. Be careful of opening all the windows, there is a strong crosswind that snaps the doors shut if they are not secured - probably not the best for small children.

If your hotel is fairly close to town, I would suggest renting a bike for the week. Easiest way to get around town, no problems with parking and no gas bills!

Really good experience
First room was Ok but ocean view was not perfect. They shifted us to 11 th floor. It was an excellent view and facility.

Good place for family get away
Nice beach in front of the hotel. Great for a family stay but it's an okay place for honeymooners. Staff was very friendly. The whole time we stayed the towels weren't changed at all and we stayed for 5 nights and four days.

Affordable West Side Location
The hotel was clean and the staff was nice. We were mainly out and about during the day and only used the hotel as a place to sleep. Close to Maui Brewing Company and could easily walk to and from.
