Really good experience
First room was Ok but ocean view was not perfect. They shifted us to 11 th floor. It was an excellent view and facility.

More than we expected
We were very suprised when we checked in. We had to fumble through the dark to find the hotel after a very long day of traveling, only to find out that in the daylight the hotel is MUCH easier to find. Because of our late check-in, I really think the 'garden view' room we purchased [...]was either being treated for buggies - or - they were sold out. So we were VERY happy to be upgraded to a 2 bdrm ocean front view on the 12th floor. There was a sign on the door stating the room had been treated for the bugs that travel so well - roaches and bed bugs. We had no hesitation at all. The mattress did have a protective cover on it, which we did feel positive about. Our luggage did not come through all the way to Maui, and each time we called down to the front desk to see if it had arrived, they were extremely nice. We only stayed for 2 nights, but at the end of those 2 nights we were wishing we were staying the remainder of the week and not moving to an upscale hotel. We would really recommend this to anyone looking to stay near the Lahaina area.

There is a FABULOUS cafe in the 'Fairway Shoppes' strip mall area - next to Eco Sky Adventures - in front of Kaanapoli Beach/Whalers Village. They had THE most wonderfuls breaksfasts for a great price. We ate there 3 times in the course of 1 week. The coffee house in the same strip is great as well. A must try!!

Wonderful break in paradise
Great location near Kahana Gateway. You can hear the surf all night. We slept like babies. Fitness room was available. No surprise fees. I wish their wireless access was free. Pool was very nice and clean. Great place to get sun.

Sea House restaurant. Mama's Fish House was top notch but an hour drive from the hotel. Well worth the trip.

Royal Kahana - great view, horrible room
there was mold in the bathroom and we could not use the air conditioning as it gave out a musty, moldy smell. We asked to be moved but were told they were full and that they would take care of the problem. They did not do anything. The carpet was faded and dirty and there was plastic on the bed under the sheets...crackled when we laid down. But, the view was amazing.

Fantastic place with very warm welcomes
We arrived later in the evening. We ended up being upgraded to a great view. The room was very large and clean had a beatiful view. We could hear the ocean from our room the whole time. the windows NEVER had to be close due to noise. The staff was very friendly and caring. Thank you for the 8 great nights we had there. With having a kitchen in our condo this saved on money so we could cook there or grill (with 4 grills being available). This was very enjoyable. There was a fresh fish market just a short distance and a grocery store (Times) just down the road. Fresh markets on Mondays and Thursdays just walking distance.

Excellent value
Pool was clean and 7ft deep. Beautiful ground. Everyone was nice. Only bad thing was the beach had rocks in the water. You could drive a short distance to D.T.Flemming or to Kaanapali for good swimming. Weather was perfect everyday. No need for AC, we slept with screen and listened to the waves at night.

Fine family getaway
This was our first trip to Maui. The staff was so helpful with setting up our activities. The view was beautiful. the grounds are nice and well kept. My only complaint was that the bathroom was very dated and showed much wear.

Great location
Staff was friendly, everthing clean, room was dated and in poor repair. Broken faucet, various pieces of flooring ,thresholds,appliances and carpet in disrepair. View was great though and enjoyed our stay. Tennis courts in sad shape also, but usable.I would possibly stay again but not in room 1108.Price would have to be right

Great price and a perfect setting!
This was the least expensive hotel/condo in Kahana. It is a ideal setting right on the beach and within walking distance to food and shopping. I would definetly check it out especially for those on a budget like myself. Aloha!

There is a little market by McDonalds and the shell station. The prices were the best I saw anywhere on the island and they have everything you would need.
