Great !!

I didn't spend too much time at the hotel so it was fine for just crashing at night. I did like the fact that each room has a small kitchen (dining out in Maui gets very expensive) and I was able to save a lot buying groceries and eating in. The washer/dryer combo unit in my room didn't work and the only other complaint I had was that the staff was extremely unfriendly. Other than that my stay at the hotel was great.

My family and 2 year old son really enjoyed staying at this hotel because it was a home! You are staying a a condo so I was able to make food in the kitchen and have the option to do laundry. It made it feel like we were at a vacation home and not a typical hotel. The staff was friendly and it was great to hear the ocean from our balcony at night.

We had a great time at the Royal Kahana. We enjoyed the view of the ocean from our 8th floor room. The bathroom was a little run down and could have been a little cleaner. We spent a lot of time in Lahaina, which is only about 10 minutes away. The front desk staff were much friendlier than the last time we stayed here. The housekeeping and maintenance staff are extremely nice and helpful. We love that the beach was just a few steps away and was easily accessible from the condo. The pool is well maintained and there are a lot of chairs for people to lounge around. We met a lot of really nice, fun people. Although this location is on the west side of the island, it really doesn't take too long to get to other places.

EXCELLENT hotel that is right on the beach. Our room was beautiful worth every cent more than a standard room, had a fully self contained kitchen with everything you could ever need and the most amazing balcony overlooking the beach. Really quite and peaceful hotel that is right across the road from a gas station and within walking distance to food - we were very sad to leave.

This is not as hotel, it is a very comfortable condominium. A complete set-up with full kitchen, large bedroom, large living room, great view, and friendly staff. I was not expecting this fantastic abode when I booked a hotel, car and flight weekend on Maui to visit my children. They loved the place as well.

We were very suprised when we checked in. We had to fumble through the dark to find the hotel after a very long day of traveling, only to find out that in the daylight the hotel is MUCH easier to find. Because of our late check-in, I really think the 'garden view' room we purchased [...]was either being treated for buggies - or - they were sold out. So we were VERY happy to be upgraded to a 2 bdrm ocean front view on the 12th floor. There was a sign on the door stating the room had been treated for the bugs that travel so well - roaches and bed bugs. We had no hesitation at all. The mattress did have a protective cover on it, which we did feel positive about. Our luggage did not come through all the way to Maui, and each time we called down to the front desk to see if it had arrived, they were extremely nice. We only stayed for 2 nights, but at the end of those 2 nights we were wishing we were staying the remainder of the week and not moving to an upscale hotel. We would really recommend this to anyone looking to stay near the Lahaina area.

Great location near Kahana Gateway. You can hear the surf all night. We slept like babies. Fitness room was available. No surprise fees. I wish their wireless access was free. Pool was very nice and clean. Great place to get sun.

there was mold in the bathroom and we could not use the air conditioning as it gave out a musty, moldy smell. We asked to be moved but were told they were full and that they would take care of the problem. They did not do anything. The carpet was faded and dirty and there was plastic on the bed under the sheets...crackled when we laid down. But, the view was amazing.
