Outrigger Royal Kahana

First of all, let me say we had a great time in Maui. The Outrigger Royal Kahana was a very good Condo room with a separate bedroom facing waterfront. The room was very clean and the kitchen equipped for any possible use. With a washer/dryer you do not need to over pack and it leaves a lot of room for new items. From our Lanai and room we saw whales splash and play all day long. The Outrigger only had a pool and tennis court (over a covered garage). The counter is just for check in/out along with minimal assistance and is in a glass enclosed cage. What is great is that on site was a independent day time excursions service and yes they wanted to sell you excursions and excursions. They were also very helpful for travel and fun purposes. Don't depend on the hotel staff for that purpose. No bar, no eats, and no entertainment. We met some of the owners who were helpful too. For parking, you had to be an expert to park in very tight spots. Your rental car will get chipped and doors banged. The beach is minimal but you can go on it and also in the water with care. No life guard. Our trip was Maui and not the Outrigger so we had a great time. On our 4th time back to Maui, we will stay at a different location. Enjoy yours too.

Very pleased with Royal Kahana, Clean, Quiet room service even washed dishes. The two days we dindn't want room service they left a measege as if they were disaponted. Room had view of ocean and saw whales every morning. I will return!

This is the third time we have stayed at the Royal Kahana. This condo complex is very comfortable. We had a beautiful view of the ocean from our room. We like that there is a small kitchen to make breakfast and keep munchies and cold drinks. We love how friendly other visitors are. There are multiple food locations within the area. There is only a ten minute drive to Lahaina, which has great shopping and restaurants. Employees were much more friendly than our previous visits. We went to the Taste of LeLe luau - very good. Also ziplined and took a snorkel trip. It is easy to get around Maui from this location.

We chose this hotel because it was the cheapest for the date we specified. We were pleasantly surprised that it was actually a fully furnished condo. We especially appreciated the fully equipped washer and dryer (which we used twice). Probably won't choose this place for a honeymoon but for a general stay at the price, it's a good deal.

The front desk staff was cordial and very accommodating. The room had most accoutrements. and exceeded expectations. There was ample parking and a security check of the lot took place at various hours. The fitness center needs some rearranging- the equipment's too close to each other. The elevator service was slow because one was not working. This property is a definite "that's good stuff."

Staying at the Outrigger Royal Kahana was a good experience. The room was clean. They were very helpful and accommodating when a room change was requested. The room was excellent and cleaned every day. As a condo, there was a kitchen area that helped with occasionally preparing our own meals. Both check in and check out was smooth and efficient. The only thing I though was a bit odd is that there was only one bag of coffee provided. When asked, they said that only the first one was complementary. The rest were a $1 each. Not expensive, just a surprise. A coffee bag every day seems normal from other places.

Great conveniences in room. A kitchenette that had microwave, stove, oven, and fridge. Location was much cooler and comfortable than Lahaina. Great place to get away from the hectic style happening further south.

Little outdated, but clean and comfortable. Would stay again.

I have been fortunate enough to take an 11-day vacation to Hawaii twice a year for the last 4 years and have stayed at the Outrigger Royal Kahana during the majority of those great getaways. A well-maintained resort by a friendly and helpful staff, the onsite fitness facility, and a quiet location are reasons that I continue to frequent the Royal Kahana.

Overall We had such a wonderful stay at the Outrigger Royal Kahana. The room was perfect size for the two of us and location couldn't of been better. Personally to me this is the best side of Island especially for the sunsets. Daisy Mae helped us get our activities all in order and was a pleasure just to talk too. One the only things the place was missing was a Hot Tub that would of been a plus!
