Great accomodations!

This hotel was a great choice for the events we had while staying there. My friend had a destination wedding there and we had a potluck rehearsal dinner, so the full kitchen in the apartments were wonderful for us! It was beautifully furnished, comfortable beds, and allowed us to save some money eating out by making our own lunches and dinners with food from the grocery store just down the road. Our friends had kids and it was a great option for them too! Had a great pool and was only a 5-10 minute walk from the beach. Hard to think of what could have made the stay any better. Only thing to keep in mind - I thought I had reserved a king bed, but the "king" or "queen" designation refers to the type of room. We ended up with a queen bed, so be sure to clarify the type of bed you want if you have a preference!

Mostly Good

The hotel didn't look like a hotel at all. It was very nice, however the hidden fees is what got us. And the miss guided info about the room. When we booked the room, we were told it was a one bedroom with a kitchen, washer and dryer, internet, and within walking distance to everything. Well, it was not a one bedroom, we ended up with a studio style room, it did not have a full kitchen, it had a mini fridge, and a microwave, it did have any dishes you could want and they washed your dirty dishes when they came to clean. We did not have a washer and dryer either. When we asked about it, we were informed they were only in the one bedrooms and to upgrade it was an additions fee per night. We were told upon check in that the internet was an extra ten dollars a day however when we checked out we were not charged for the internet. As for the walking distance, it was. and the view was awesome. I would stay here again however I will be aware of all of the hidden fees the next time.

Honeymoon

The Outrigger aina nalu was within walking distance of almost anything you need or want to do. not to mention the calm and peaceful atmosphere. I would have been nice not to pay so much for parking at the outrigger but you have to pay for parking everywhere so i guess its just paying for convience. this was the funnest trip I have ever had. My worries were put to rest with the very informative and helpful front desk clerks.

the good, the bad, and the ugly

We snorkled and hiked, toured the Island. We enjoyed the salt water pool at hotel. We selected the hotel thinking we were going to be close to beach, not 6 blocks away. We walked to dining and shopping areas with ease. Was surprised at having to pay 15.00/day for parking, it is not in your advertisement, the hotel has no laundry facilities, room had hook ups but no machines. Bathroom was ok except the toilet paper holder is in wrong place. You hit your hip or side to sit down. There is no lighting on the side of the room where table is located, AC was noisy, so we did not use it for 6 days. We could not open a window or door to sit out to enjoy the weather or scenery. We did like the security. The air does not circulate well in the room. We used the pool towels daily but had to call housekeeping daily to replace them separately instead of when room was cleaned. I will think twice about staying there again. Location to shopping was great. This was my 5th trip to Maui and all the other areas had laundry facilities, free parking for tenants, more information about hotels. When I asked about bed, it was turned around so you slept sideways and person in back would have difficult time getting out of bed, I was told that was the way the owner wanted the beds. I think he should stay at his resort and try the rooms out. The best attraction is the saltwater pool. Liked the idea of security.

Fantastic & beautiful facility

When I first walked up to the facility I was impressed on the landscaping and the building. The frosting on the cake was when I walked into my condo. I immediately exclaimed WOW the minute I walked in the door. It has everything you need and more. It has everything you would need to cook, launder and shower. I was surprised that they came in and cleaned the room everyday just like a hotel. I shopped on Front St quite a bit, and visited other attractions. There is a lot to do right in the area. A lot of great restaurants in the area as well.

Great Facility

It was a nicely run facility. I was getting bit by some sort of bug at night, which they failed to really acknowledge. The maintenance guy came and sprayed raid on the bed at about 8'oclock at night, which was kind of annoying. We switched rooms and didn't have any problems. One of the people at the front desk was extremely rude, but most of the staff was generally pretty positive.

Entertainment tip: Short walk from hotel

This place is within walking distance of Lahaina harbor. Downtown Lahaina has a ton of great restaurants and a good nightlife. The best Luau in Maui in on the beach of Lahaina.
