Extremely Happy Couple
My husband and I got very lucky when we chose this hotel by the affordable price. We we arrived we were upgraded to a better room, which suprised us. Not only was the staff extremely pleasant but also very helpful when we asked for advise on activities and dining. And location could not have been more perfect. We will definitely stay here again when we come back.

A great resort in paradise
The villa we stayed at was a garden view room--great price and super close to the lobby, pools, and beach. Our villa had very nice amenities with a full kitchen--we expected a hotel room with a mini-fridge, so were very pleasantly surprised. We bought some supplies (food, drinks, a styrofoam cooler, etc.) at the Walmart by the airport and saved on breakfast and packing picnic lunches, so we could splurge on nice dinners out. The pools, hot tub and beach were amazing! We snorkeled right next door to the villas at the public beach. We ate one breakfast and dinner at the Castaway restuarant at the resort--we both thought the food was excellent and a pretty view to whale watch. The hotel conceirge was really helpful (I think her name was Donna) and gave us some good advice for day trips we were interested in and even helped us get very hard to acquire tickets to the dinner/magic show of Warren and Annabelle. The only little minus was that I kept having to request a packet of coffee to make each morning (the first few days, the cleaning staff would leave a fresh packet by the in-room coffee maker and then they stopped). After a while we just gave up and either went to the lobby for coffee or got some on our way to our adventure for the day. Also, the room had a small dishwasher--it would have been helpful to have a few more glasses, silverware on hand, as I felt guilty running it half full when we ran out of these things.

Good Value
The beach was the best on the entire island. We went to 15 different beaches and the the one in front of the hotel was the best. Most sun, least wind, good snorkeling off to the right.

Travel very light. All you need is a few sets of shorts and tops , underwear, and a bathing suit. Laundry facilities are at the facility. You do not need to bring a lot of luggage--a carry-on is "free" and you can carry a second bag on the return trip with the "trophies" you bought during your stay. This was our 3rd trip to Maui and we've brought less with us each time and still were not wanting for clothes.

Fantastic beach!
The beach is the best feature of this hotel. The service is perfect. All the units are individually owned so the decor might be different and we don't always get a remodeled one but it's ok because nothing can beat the location of this hotel and the beach. Great swimming and snorkeling right there. If you prefer waves and surfing, activities and crowds, more choices of restaurants and bars it's probably not the best place for you.

fabulous place to stay at Ka'anapali
The LOCATION doesn't get any better. The QUALITY of the accomadations can't be beat. And the SHEER TRANQUILITy of the hotel/condo is fabulous. Plus it is CLEAN and full of ALOHA. Sited on 11 acres in Ka'anapali, the tourist density is minimal, making the stay relaxing and enjoyable.

A long drive. But don't miss the heiau (temple) just before Hana. Golf at Ka'anapali (if you can get a "free" two rounds by spending 90 minutes at a time-share presentation), is well worth the time and effort.

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME
The villas are a great place to stay,beautiful grounds,facilities. We got a studio/garden view and parked twenty feet from our door and very private. you can get ocean view but then not so private with everyone walking on beach in front of your patio. Units have full kitchens with everything, and bbq area with gas grills so you can cook at "home". This was our fourth stay at the villas and would never stay anywhere else again. The private beach at the villas is rated the highest on Maui for snorkeling /scuba/fish.Beautiful coral reef /tons of tropical fish as close 20 feet out. Black rock is at one end. [...] the manager is A AWESOME HOST. Especially for a family you can not beat this awesome place. I would warn everyone be careful of the airline you select to get there, we have had serious issues with all major airlines EXCEPT HAWAIIAN AIR which does set the standard. They only fly from west coast unfortunately. There are 3 grocery stores within a few miles of the villas, Safeway,the times,food mart but you REALLY need to bounce back and forth between all of them for sale items. Groceries are outrageous but picking sale items are just as inexpensive as home{midwest}

Go to ABC stores and get the book "Maui Revealed" it tells you where all of Maui's hidden natural treasures are. Most all excursions were a disappointment and overpriced. Get a car and the book and you're set. We dove with Maui diving and scuba right behind the shell gas station at Lahaina which was the best value for anything we've done there. Also the trip to the national park at Hana seven pools and waterfalls is a trying experience but one you will talk about for the rest of your life, start out early for this trip!!!!!

Excellent location and services
The hotel room with a roomy kitchen and two queen size beds. Our family of 4 spent 7 days of winter holidays there. The most unexpected thing was to find a Christmas gift and a Christmas card when we arrived on Christmas Eve. The beach was very nice and did not have so many people like the beaches of more luxury hotels. The hotel located just minutes drive to a Safeway and Lahaina town center.
