Loving Kona
Stunning views of Paradise
We booked the Bay Tower which the views were totally amazing, but I have a bad back and the beds were like sleeping on concrete. I really hope they renovate those rooms within the next 5 years, because I am gonna request the same room, hopefully getting some sleep this time. It was wonderful and the most beautiful place I have ever been. We couldn't ask for more beauty. It was also a little noisy, beings we were very close to the resturant next door, and they had bands way into the night. Other than that, I enjoyed sleeping with the balcony doors open and listening to the waves every night and every morning. I loved my hotel and I loved my vacation!!! The pros are far more than the cons. Thank you so much Kona Resort.

Very nice stay.
Location location location. That's what it's all about. Perfect location for all the action in Kona. Walking distance to all the tourist restaurants and hot spots. Short driving distance to Target, Wal-Mart, Safeway and other cheaper options for supplies. Nice clean rooms and great atmosphere. Would stay again. Only major drawback is having to pay $10 per night for parking even though you're a guest.

Shopping tip:
Short drive from hotel
There are a few stores (Wal-Mart, Target, Ross, Safeway, etc) a couple of miles away in case you need to buy supplies or groceries. The ABC stores across the street are expensive. There are also a few fast food places in the same area if you want to save money on food.

Great Service, view. Best location Kona
You can tell the Hotel is older and it can use some renovation. However, the biggest plus is the location which is a short walk to some great restaurants and views. Really enjoyed the hotel and staff.

Gold Star Experience
My stay was for business purposes overnight, but needed to enjoy the beauty of the Big Island as best one can and still conduct business. Conveniently located to my business locations. After a stressful day of meetings, the room accommodations were well appointed(value ocean view type) and provided the solace and comfort that was needed. The view was incredible and the staff were all very courteous. Well priced. Definitely recommend this to all. I can hardly wait to return for a pleasure trip.

If I could do it again, I'd do it w/Kona
We did everything imagineable, one of my highlights was the vanilla farm, the hot pool and the fresh fruit. The variety of things to do on the island was so cool. It was nice to come back to a nice clean room daily and they even offer beach towels :). Its like your own terrairium-beautiful.

My first stay in Hawaii at this resort
Great Hotel and very helpful staff. Did not stay in hotel long because the location allowed for me to walk around a very nice stretch of beach next to the hotel. While you need a car in Big Island, places of interest are not very far from location. Great Ocean view rooms and shows have made my decision easier to stay there again. Other friends have stayed there before me and have recommended it and I will do the same for others.
