    OK place to stay

We chose this place as we needed a kitchen (easier with a baby!). The carpets had spots, the bed sagged on one of the sides and we saw 2 dead roaches! What we liked was that the condo was spacious with two full baths and a full kitchen. The staff were pretty friendly and they responded quickly to our requests. The property was also located close to beaches and snorkeling spots and was also close to the downtown.

You get what you pay for

Convienient location for our needs. Shopping center across the street. Not in the downtown mess of Kialua. Not the nicest place we have stayed, but not the worst either. These are bare bones 1970's time share units, so don't expect a lot of amenities. No beach swimming access, pools are a hike from the room, staff is friendly and helpful.

The good, the bad and the really ugly

This was an average place and the pools were small. It was disappointing that there was no access to the beach right on the property. The timeshare department was overbearing and untruthful. We agreed to stay for a 90 minute presentation which lead to one way longer... when we said we wanted to consider their proposal they were extremely agressive. Do not attend the timeshare presentation. The discounts are NOT worth it. Try to decided what day trips you want ahead of time and book online.. that will be cheaper and less aggravating.

Again, book online prior to the trip if you can decide on what you want to do. You will save time on your trip and money many times if you book online. The Lava tour and snorkling with the dolphins were excellent tours offered.

    Kona Coast Resort

Great resort no worries on room type as the rooms are well appointed and above expectations for the price...The property is well maintained, staff was friendly and helpfull and stay was pleasant on all accounts...Rooms are equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, kitchen was great and saved lots of cash by cooking meals daily as eating out in Kona is quite costly...Pool's and Jacuzzi's were great...Really nothing to complain about at this resort!!!

    Unbeatable location for the price

From my experience... hotel stays don't always leave you with a clean feeling. But the Kona Coast Resort put my soul at rest.

Great place to put your stuff

Very convenient, located pretty close to the Kona airport. Villa was as promised, spacious and the washer/dryer and kitchen were really useful. Only the wifi was really spotty but not really a big deal while you're busy having a spiritual experience in Hawaii!
