This is our 4th stay at the Waiohai Beach Club in the past 5 years. The difference this time is that instead of staying in a time share suite (which we typically trade into from our time share), we stayed in one of the "hotel" rooms on the
property. The room was so unremarkable that it could have been a Marriott hotel room in Kansas City which made the price we paid hard to swallow. Plus, the few "hotel rooms" on the property are apparently next to ALL maintenance doors/closets/facilities in which the workers all love slamming the doors to at 6:00 AM...I'm on vacation people! I don't want to be awoken by a bunch of slamming doors and people moving heavy equipment. What's amazing is that the time share suites are quite the opposite and we love the Waiohai otherwise
Hotel features (5 = best, 1 = worst):
Short drive from hotel
Be sure to hit the Beach House for an amazing sunset dinner
This is the perfect hotel for families or a few friends my villa had 2 bedroom, 2 baths, a full kitchen, dining room and living room. Each room also had a private deck and plenty of parking. The shop in the lobby had food or you could walk to a
shopping villa. There was also a great place right by the beach to get hamburgers and the resort had 6 grills for you to use as you like. The only down fall is the resort did not offer a shuttle but there were a few companies around that offered shuttle service.
