Maui Sunseeker LGBT Resort is the largest gay owned and operated resort in Hawaii, welcoming all, but catering primarily to the LGBT traveler. Right on the warm sunny South shore in Kihei, the Sunseeker is perfect for gorgeous ocean views that entice daily morning beach walks. Or enjoy new found friends on the rooftop deck while drinking in the romantic sunsets. With a well-deserved Certificate of Excellence from their guests Trip Advisor ratings, this place just feels right. With one visit, you will find yourself booking your next stay before you depart. That is why this top boutique resort has a 40 percent guest return ratio. One well known travel reporter characterized the Sunseeker as Four Seasons quality at very affordable prices. The resort has a clothing optional swimming pool and Jacuzzi, free Wi-fi and many other amenities. Junior Suites and above have well appointed gourmet kitchens where you can prepare your fresh local finds. Destination Maui- Your Home Under the Rainbow. Please note that we are an adult-only property - we are unable to accommodate anyone under the age of 18 at this property. Check-in is after 2 pm on the day of arrival at the front desk. Check-out is at 11 am. If your arrival is after 5pm, locate the office in the two story building 200 facing the ocean. There will be an envelope on the office front door with your name printed on the outside. Inside will be instructions. Kihei is on the South Coast of Maui where the warm sun shines every day, literally. Tropical breezes make the steady 80s daytime temperatures enjoyable. While time on this remote isle is relaxing, there is enough civility for fine evenings.

We had a great time!!!

My lover and I have been to Hawaii several times and I have to say this was our best experience ever. The staff were gentle and friendly and left us wanting to come back for more. At work I am known as the Queen of my job and I felt like I was treated as royalty all week long! Thanks for everything, ALOHA!!!

Comfortable Stay

The room was clean and neat. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a late arrival and they had our room info ready and waiting for us when we got there. The only negative was that the Jacuzzi wasn't working. Other than that it was great.

GREAT place to stay!!

Excellent experience. Very friendly, accommodating, and competent staff helped me book outings, find gay places to patronize and they checked in how I was doing. Great service! They are also centrally located on S. Kihei Rd - very convenient location.

Relaxing getaway

Boutique hotel - not lost in large crowds. No screaming kids. Intimate & comfortable in good location across from beach & close to restaurants & shopping. (No meal service at hotel) Staff knowledgable about area & anxious to please. Some beach gear available free. Room cleaned well daily. Kitchenette makes meals/snack cheap & easy. Roof deck & jacuzzi great place for guests to mingle. Will be back.

Extremely Friendly Atmosphere

It may not be a luxury hotel, but it makes up with bags of charm, friendly and helpful staff and a great overall atmosphere. The sundeck was a great place to get to know other guests, have a chat or exchange tips about Maui, and the sunsets were unrivaled. The beach is just across the road and restaurants and shops are only a short ride away (a car is almost essential). Staff were extremely helpful and went out of their way to give us a memorable stay.

The best get-a-way in Maui BY FAR!!!!!!

Had an awesome view on the mountain, and exotic view of the beach. From our balcony, it was about 50 feet to the waters edge, and you can hear the waves every night! The private 3rd floor was perfect for sunbathing, and at night for eveyone to hang out and just relax. The hot tub also on the third floor was the perfect ending to each night. The junior exectutive sweet which we had had a terrific kitchette to save money on food. Bathroom was excellent and the staff was first class.I recomend this to anyone, plus we are already planning our trip back to maui, and we are definatly staying at the sunseeker! Might even try to upgrade to the penthouse!!!Thank you so much [...]!!p.s. [...] sessions are to die for!!!!

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

When going to big beach take the Pi'ilani Hwy (31) instead of S Kehei road, cuts 15-20 minutes driving time!!!Also, when going to the airport take hansen road by the sugar cane stacks, and then left, and follow the signs to the airport. Takes 20 minutes off!!

My review of Maui Sunseeker Resort-A Gay Resort

They did a wonderful job of making a person feel welcome and helping to familiarize visitors of the resort to the surrounding areas of Maui. I would definitely stay there again.

Great Time

My partner and I spent 7 nights this July and 7 nights last summer at The Maui Sunseeker. This year we upgraded to an ocean view.It was well worth the upgrade to see the ocean as soon as we stepped out on the private deck each morning and see the sunset the nights we were getting ready to dine out at some of the great restaurants just a short drive away further into Kehei. The room was clean and the property was beautifully taken care of. Just a walk across the street was a sandy stretch of beach. What a great location to all sorts of activities.

Sightseeing tip: Short drive from hotel

We went on a helicopter ride of the island from the airport, we went ziplining at the Kapalua Resort, and para-sailing in Lahaina ,all a short drive in various directions.Along with numerous other rides to hidden scenic adventures throughout the island.
