Great Hotel, Location, and Service
I was on Maui last week, the trip was very impressive. Maui coast hotel impressed me so much for service and location. It was on the middle of sount Kehei with couple steps away from the popular beach. You won't find any other reasonable price with this hotel quality anywhere. The pool was great too.

A very good hotel with budget
A hotel with very high C/P value. Rooms are new and updated. The only downside is the bathroom is a little bit too small. Barely can open the door when you have two people inside.

Unbeatable location for the price
We ultimately ended up choosing to stay at the Maui Coast hotel over the larger resorts in Ka'anapali because, as a couple, we wanted to avoid throngs of children and large tourist crowds. Location: The location ended up being perfect because all of the essentials were within a short walk or short drive of the hotel: ABC Store, Longs Drugs, plenty of great local places to eat, shaved ice, and a fantastic sandy beach across the street. It made for a great home base. It is a bit of a drive to the more touristy towns like Lahaina and Ka'anapali, but if you're in no hurry, it's always a pleasant drive considering just about every major highway hugs the coastline. Hotel Amenities: Our room was on the 7th floor and had a lovely view of the ocean. It was fairly quiet (especially considering we never closed our lanai door) and we were pleasantly surprised that there was a ceiling fan in the room. The flat screen TV, soft feathertopped mattresses, and mini-fridge/micro were great. The only complaint is the size of the bathroom, where the door does intrude quite a bit into the bathroom. However, this really wasn't an issue for us and the bathroom fixtures were very modern. Also, a final plus was the complimentary washers and dryers, which meant on our last night, we were able to wash all of our clothes and take home clean clothes rather than having the pleasure of washing everything as soon as we got back. Also, on site is a Local Expert who helped us book our trips. It was much nicer than the high pressure booking situations in Lahaina, with folks trying to pull you in off the street and bribe you with freebies. Re: the pool - we never used it, and frankly don't really understand using it when there's a perfectly fine beach across the street, but it was rather small. However, it seemed nice enough and it was never crowded. In the evening, there was music entertainment and we swung by for a happy hour one evening. If you're looking for one of those huge fancy resort pools, Ka'anapali is the place for you. Overall: This hotel is a great choice if you shy away from places that are packed with tourists and are looking for a more authentic experience. Also, because it's not as touristy an area, you'll find a lot of savings at restaurants.

Money-saving tip:
Long walk from hotel
Hit up the local Longs or Foodland and grab your essentials for a great trip: a flat of water, juices, and a cooler. Maui is pretty hot so keeping a stash of cold waters and juice in a cooler in the trunk ensures you don't get dehydrated and avoid paying for bottled water everywhere you go. Also, to help out maid service, leave your cans and bottles in a separate bag by the trash so they can recycle it.

Good location on island. nice room.
I think we stayed in a good geographic location on the island. The room was nice. We didn't hang out much in the Hotel because there is so much to do on island! It was always nice to come back to a comfortable bed and good shower. Big rooms, fridge, micro, coffeemaker. Beaches are across street, and very close. I would come back again.

The Honeymooner wife
The Honeymoon Experience
We went for our honey moon and I thought at first from the pictures online that we were going to be right on the beach, but we weren't. We were on the other side ofthe street from the beach behind a private property that was fenced off. But we could still see the beach if we leaned over the rail far enough. The room was very private and sound proof, we definately took advantage of that. The molokini scuba dive was worth the money, great pictures, saw a variety of fish, a turtle, a flying fish, that was cool. Went to the Aquarium, if you go get the tele, for 3 dollars apeice the extra info was worth it. Oh if you see the timeshare presentation you get the Luai for free, the Luai was really cool and the sunset and dancers were neat. At the Luai, the 15 dollar upgrade to VIP was worth it. Surfing was really fun to try, we got up on our first try, our instructor was great, he was out of Lahaina by the 505 Front St. Shopping Center. Overall, we had a great time and are already planning to go again in a few years. We didn't spend that much time in the Room, there was just too much to see elsewhere but when we were there it was a nice place to relax, and the tub was big enough for both of us.

Maui Taco has some great mexican food that feels local. Great atmosphere. Another great place we ate was Fat Daddy's. Oh and if you want to surf? In Lahaina there was this guy named [...], about half the price of everyone else, sounds a little shady when you call but worth every penny. My husband and I got up on our first wave, we met up with him next to the 505 shopping center on Front St.

loving the maui coast!
Perfect for the occasion!
We were visiting our daughter and fiance who live in Maui and this hotel was so close to where they lived. It was very affordable and the room we had was a great size. Would have loved to have had free internet in the room, but they did offer computers in the open air lobby that were free and I was even able to print out my boarding passes when it was time to go! Nice staff. The rooms were always clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on, even better then my own bed at home!

nice and relaxing
The hotel was very nice and super relaxing. The bed was super comfortable and huge and the bedding was wonderful. The seating area was also comfortable...I wish I had that sofa at my house!! The staff was very friendly and helpful...it is not a resort hotel so don't stay if you want the huge pool, lots of on site shopping, etc. It was the perfect getaway for me and my boyfriend.
