A slice of perfection
At first I was hesitant because I read reviews, AFTER I booked, from a different website. The reviews were negative and made me sad. But I kept strong and did not change my place of stay. I had an amazing time! The villa I had was breathtaking. The view of the ocean was stunning, and I slept like a baby to the sounds of the ocean. I also loved the sun going up in the wee mornings, leaving me with a different picture of the sea. As for the staff, anything I needed was handled immediately and done with a smile.

Best location on Maui
We have always stayed at one of the Kaanapali Hotels or Condos, however we chose to stay at the Kapalua Villas for a change of pace.. We have now found the perfect spot to return to year after year. Much less crowded than Lahaina and Kaanapali and the Oceanfront condo was luxurious with magnificent views of Molokai and the humpback whales passing through the straight in full view from our balcony. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Can't wait to return next year.

Beautiful villas in a Beautiful location
These villas are stunning inside. A little bit of a maze to find your villa and the office because there are so many other residential and golf accommodations around, but that's what makes this place so wonderful. Walking in to our villa was jaw dropping. My wife and I were so pleased with the size of our 1 bedroom as well as the appliances, bedding, and furnishings. TV wasn't in high definition, but that's about the only negative thing and I'm really nit picking. Bathroom is unbelievable!! Giant shower for 2-:) plus a bath, his and her sinks with marble countertops as well as granite in the kitchen. Kitchen appliance are top notch, as utensils and cookware were perfect for a lovely dinner feast! The balcony we had (partial ocean) had a beautiful view of the ocean and golf course and a stunning sunset view which made a wonderful finale to our vacation. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking. We had access to the Ritz-Carlton and there bay beach, but I understand that will no longer be available. We didn't use there pools, which they advertise to be known for, but we are more beach people when it's available to us. You can use other bay beaches that are public and great spots for bath water-like ocean swimming if that's what you are in to. Great villas, and absolutely stunning scenery! High recommend!!

Krazy for Kapalua!
Great experience and great location. Lot's of beautiful beaches and private pools to choose from. Loved the shuttle service. View from our golf villa was amazing...180 degree view of the ocean. We did not stay in the Gold Villas but could imagine how that would be over the top. This is a place to go to relax.

not as nice as it was a few months ago
We were lucky enough to stay here twice in the last 6mos. After an outstanding experience in March, we decided to stay here again in July. Unfortunately, several services have been downgraded. First, one of the wonderful unique points of this facility was that with a "gold Villa" the unit would get maid service and nightly turndown service daily. This set these units apart from the other villas on the island and is no longer offered. Housekeeping does come by to change towels and take the trash daily, but we had to call repeatedly for new soap, detergent, etc which on prior visits were replenished automatically. Sounds picky, but took away from the previous special feel of pampering. Secondly, the Honolua store has been bought by the large ABC store chain. While still a nice option for affordable breakfast and lunch, the big box mentality focusing on the bottom line has started to permeate (fresh fish sandwiches taken off menu because it was too expensive for them to buy (could have passed cost along instead of removing my favorite sandwich option?!). The views were still fantastic and the grounds well-taken care of. Kapalua is wonderful if you want to get away from the crowds and we are missing the peaceful walkable beaches already!
