Resort adds glam to Coconut Coast with fantasy pool and luxury condos
The beachfront resort spreads over 12.6 acres with a 300,000-gallon fantasy pool in the heart of it. Units range from hotel rooms to two-bedroom vacation condos, located in seven low-rise buildings across an expanse of manicured lawns dotted with pools, waterfalls and slender palms. Outrigger Waipouli Beach Resort opened in 2007 and has a decidedly upscale look and feel, exemplified by the use of exotic wood and imported stone in accommodations. Lihue International Airport to Outrigger Waipouli Beach Resort: Exit Lihue Airport and turn RIGHT at the first traffic signal onto KAPULE HWY/HWY 51. Continue on HWY 51 until it intersects with KUHIO HWY/HWY 56. Continue on KUHIO HWY/HWY 56 as it crosses the Waialua River Bridge. Continue past Coconut Plantation at Waipouli approximately 1 mile; Turn RIGHT into WAIPOULI BEACH RESORT. Kauai Village Marketplace is directly across Kuhio Hwy from Waipouli Beach Resort.

Relaxing and delightful!
We were upgraded to an ocean view room. The rooms were very beautiful. It would have been nice if there had been a snack bar at the pool area, but I think it will open next week. The pool was outstanding. The three hot tubs were very restful and it was great to visit with the other guests. We loved spending time on the beach. It was so relaxing.

Go to Hanapepe and eat at the Grinds Cafe. They served the best fish sandwich we had the whole time we were on Kauai.

Oasis in Kapaa, Kauai
This condomimium beach resort was perfect for us. We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo with ocean view and it was very roomy and decorated with taste. Our two complaints were the beach was too rocky for swimming or boarding and our unit was behind the kitchen for the restaurant and it made a constant humming noise (like an air-conditioner B-204). There are lots of great beaches to visit on Kauai, so the lack of good beach at this resort makes you venture out and explore. Pool area is lovely to look at (we had a view of that too). Restaurant has ocean view and is a very attractive place to go to. Food yummy, but pricey. I would go back, but ask to not be behind kitchen unit (it is separate from the restaurant).

Great Location and property
This was our 2nd visit. Very nice and comfortable condos. The ocean front are amazing. This time we had a garden room, which looked at a small garden area and the parking lot. The beds are very comfortable. My only complaint was at check in. They allowed the previous guest to stay until 230pm and we were to check in at 3pm. We arrived at 255pm and were told to wait, with no appologies, until at least 4pm. The staff should have been kinder and more considerate of THEIR mistake at letting the previous guest stay too long. Wonderful trip, easy access to the north shore where we hiked, snorkeled and zip lined! ALOHA!!

Beautiful complex conveniently located
The rooms are very well appointed and have top of the line equipment and furnishings. The restaurant and bar was very enjoyable and right on the beach. The location was between the two more known locations of Poipu and Princeville, so was very convenient to all the natural attractions as well as the golf courses. this seemed to be a family oriented condo complex, so for us that was a negative; just too many kids.

Beautiful Rooms and Quiet Pool area
This is a really nice resort that I would stay at again. The grocery store across the street was really helpful. It was more expensive than the mainland, but still quite a bit cheaper than eating out every meal. The beach was not very swimmable due to the coral, but both the beach and the pool areas were pretty quiet during the day. The onsite restaurant was fairly expensive and we didn't eat there. There were a number of places within walking distance, including Wahoos, which was expensive but really good. We paid for an ocean-front room and they intially put us on a ground floor with a limited view. After some discussions with them, they moved us to another room that had a much better view, though it still wasn't what we had pictured. Be specific about what kind of room you want when you check in.

Great condo resort
Good central location to explore the island. Large spacious rooms with top if the line amenities. Beautiful pool and wonderful landscaping that almost drawrf the ocean view. Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. On site dining was top notch. As for activities check out the beautiful na pali coast it will leave you speechless.

Fabulous accomodations
We had a great time at the Waipouli Beach Resort. Our room overlooked the beautiful pool area, but it was never noisy. We had no problem getting a lounge chair at the pool any time we went down. They have great happy hour food at the Oasis bar! The rooms have every possible amenity you can think of to make your stay comfortable. It was very convenient having a Safeway, Longs Drug, and Starbucks across the street. We would definitely return to this hotel, both for the wonderful property as well as the great location on the island.

Traveling Steff
Awesome romantic spot!
This hotel has an awesome location and is easy to drive to the north and south parts of the island. It is also very close to the airport! The staff was friendly and attentive. The grounds were well kept and the pool was a lot of fun to swim and hang out in. There are also many whirlpools with sand at the bottom! The beach area was decent, but small. There wasn't much land to really take a walk on the beach. Our room was very nice with a full kitchen and really nice appliances! Safeway was right across the street for groceries and the town of Kapaa has tons of nice restaurants. There was a nice breeze from the second floor, but could also use A/C if necessary. Overall, it was very enjoyable staying there.
