Outrigger Waipouli Beach Resort

We stayed at the Outrigger Waipouli Beach Resort for two nights. The rooms are outstanding, however, be forewarned that a partial mountainview room means a great view of the strip mall across the street, with Safeway being the focal point of your view. When we complained to the front desk about the view, they were very accommodating and were able to move us the next day. The rooms are really top notch. The kitchen is large and spacious with high end appliances. The beds are very comfortable and the furnishings are beautiful. We had our two teenage boys and daughter with us, and they had a blast on the water slides as did my husband and I. The hotel is centrally located to either the South or North shores. We had happy hour at the Oasis restaurant and the truffle potatoes and cold beers tasted amazing. We would definitely return to the hotel again and appreciate their efforts to make our stay enjoyable.

My husband and I spent 7 days here and had a great time. The rooms are very comfortable and gorgeous. You are seconds away from the ocean and there is a grocery store right across the street. The pool is shallow, but has some fun little water falls and a slide. We found that mostly families with small children stayed here. So if you are looking for a social young crowd atmosphere, this might not be the place. Otherwise, the staff was very helpful with planning excursions. The only thing I was a little disappointed with.... the garden view room is really a view of the parking lot and we had to wait for our room to be cleaned long after check in time. But they gave us a $50. credit to the Oasis restaurant. The restaurant is a good atmosphere, but would give the food 2 stars. Overall we would stay here again, especially when we start a family!!

The condo provided all the amenities of home. We loved the kitchenette and loved the layout of the condo. It was a good location for all of the activities we had planned for our stay. We highly reccomend kayaking the Wailua River and hiking Waimea Canyon. The views are breathtaking. Our favorite dining spot was about a mile north of our resort. Eastiside restaurant is a must do!

the kiddie pool is fantastic, the rooms are really plush, and the drinks (although not cheap) were the best I've had while visiting any Hawaiian island

Our room at the Outrigger Waipouli Beach Resort was excellent. The kitchen, bathroom, and washer/dryer really made the difference for us. It was really great to have such luxurious amenities available to us throughout our stay. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare some meals, and the appliances were top notch! The bathroom was so large and well-designed, we three women never got in each others' way!

This is a perfect hotel for families with kids. We had a 2BR condo with the fully-furnished kitchen. And really, it was a fully furnished kitchen, down to a wine bottle opener! Location could not be any better- right in front of safeway, minutes from Lydgate beach park, a perfect beach for families with kids. The pool is also awesome- has a nice set of slides that kids would love! the only negatives were- (1) the room service is every 3 days (not a big deal since one can wash the towels in the in-room laundry), and (2) the front desk staff is not very friendly. Other than that, a perfect stay!!

My wife and I spent our honeymoon here and had a fantastic time. Being a condo complex it was really nice having a full kitchen as well as two full bathrooms. The rooms only get cleaned once every 3 days which some people have an issue with but we found no problem in it. We dont like being disturbed and how hard is it just to hang your towel up and use it again. Also some people complained there werent enough towels, there were 4 towels, 4 medium size hand towels and 4 washclothes for 2 people, it was plenty. The pool also provides you with up to 6 beach towels which was more than enough unless you have a big family. We found the complex to be clean and comfortable, the pool was really nice especially with the adult only hot tubs. Now you do get the parents who dont read signs and let their kids get in but that only happened to us once out of a 7 day trip. The hotel is centrally located to either North or South shores, expect about an hour to drive to the far ends in either direction. The speed limits are slow but your in Kauai, slow down and enjoy it. It took me 2 days to finally adjust to the pace of things. The other issue other people had was the traffic light right out front of the hotel, it takes awhile but your crossing a highway and there is traffic, what are you going to do. This should not take away from the hotel, it may take and extra 5 minutes waiting on the light but that is only between 8-5, if your up earlier or go out later its faster. So all in all we had a great time at the hotel, it was clean, appliances were very nice, everything worked, beds were comfortable, and the staff were nice. We would definitely stay here again. Also utilize the concierge for booking your activities, they were super helpful, knowledgeable, and nice. They will ask if you want to get a greater discount by sitting in on their new condos for sale down the street and if thats your thing go for it, if not, just say no thanks and they wont ask again.

We had a 2 bedroom ocean front end unit on the 4th floor. Would definitely reccomend getting above the 2nd floor for great views of the ocean. Rooms were spacious and very well layed out, the kitchen had high end appliances. Location was great, basically 45 minutes to north shore sites as well as the west shore sites. 2 grocery stores and drug store right across street, join the grocery store loyalty programs to save on groceries. Pool was very nice for families and had enough pool side seating for all. Beach has limited swimming due to rocky ocean bottom, there is a section to the far right side of the property that is more swim able by break wall.

Awesome time. Gorgeous hotel right on the beach. Would definitely stay here again!
