Aston Aloha Beach Hotel is a super choice for families in part because of its setting -- above one of the most child-friendly beaches on Kauai. The boulder-encircled lagoon of Lydgate Beach Park offers families and others a sweet beach and protected waters for wading, floating, swimming or snorkeling. Would NEVER stay again.
Read the reviews and other guest commented on the "good value for what one pays..." I do NOT see any value in my stay. Just glad I had so much going on outdoors that I did not have to stay much in my room. Absolutely disgusted with the room, I had to shower with flip flops on! My friends were OK with the room but I had to disagree. If you are tight on your budget and OK with much below average then it might be ok for you. However, I will definitely be paying more for a better experience. I just want a clean room, that is it!!!!

Great Stay!
Had a great stay here. The place has a vintage Hawaiian feel to it, like from movies you grew up with, which I like. I visited the more expensive resorts and if you want luxury and resort life, then maybe it's not the place for you. But if you want a fun place to stay while you spend most of your day exploring the island, this is a good, reasonably priced place. I would go back.

Short drive from hotel
The only nightlife on the island is at Trees Lounge just down the road.

five days in Kauai
Great location, between the beautiful North side and the sunny South beaches. Excellent value for the price !!!!

Excellent Time
This was my second time to Kauai and I was very satisfied with the Aston Aloha the beds were nice, there was some great scenery and the breakfast/brunch wasn't bad. I wish the Happy Hour was longer but everything on Kauai always closes too early.

Good for the price
Good location, close to Wailua River, close to the beach, windy at the pool, hard and old beds, old and very noisy fridge, heavy window to open, housekeeper ladies were nice and friendly,

Aloha Beach Hotel Kauai
The hotel surprised us. It is really big with a lot of rooms. It was clean and you can have a nice day at the picnic area. the 2 pools or the jacuzzi. A very good and cheap hotel

Nice place to stay at a reasonable price
The hotel was clean and the room was adequate. It was used mainly as a homebase for a place to sleep as we were sight seeing and exploring the Island everyday. I would stay here again.

Great Stay for the Price!
A group of us just finished hiking the Kalalau Trail and wanted a hot shower and a bed to sleep. After seeing other reviews for this place I didn't think it would be anything more than that, but it was beautiful. Large rooms with a sitting area and fridge. Restaurant on the grounds, a nice pool and jacuzzi with a good snack bar and happy hour, we didn't check out the fitness center because that was the last thing we wanted to do after hiking 22 miles. It was walking distance to a public beach and we were able to leave our things with them and enjoy the pool and ocean after our check out. Friendly service too! Very pleasantly surprised for what we expected to be a 2 star.
