Maui beach hotel is a great hotel. As a local the location and prices are pretty reasonable. Much of the staff is great...Tesse at the front desk is just wonderful!! Housekeeping is very friendly. Mahalo

We stayed for only one night, it was ok. We didnt get to walk around and see the hotel, but maybe next time we will.

good enough for a night
We picked this hotel because we didn't want to drive our first night, and they offered airport pickup. It was very efficient, with a friendly driver. That's about all they offered. A shabby, if clean, nonsmoking room. A fridge but no coffee maker. Across the street from a mall with average food options. The breakfast buffet was pricey and didn't look enticing. We got a pretty decent price, and if all you need is a convenient place for a decent price, this is fine.

Long walk from hotel
We picked up a Subway from the Long's shopping center a few blocks away for the loooong drive to Hana, and it came in handy. They open at 7.

Convenience at its best
Staffing was excellent! Customer service from the front desk to the dining facility was very welcoming. Attended my mothers memorial service on the island of Maui not the happiest moments but the staff made our stay pleasureable.

Good Place to Stay
I liked the hotel very much. I had no problems with anything. I would suggest that you pay the extra dollars for a garden room, I did. Non garden rooms front a very busy road or a very large parking lot. The buffet breakfast for $13.00 was worth it. If I return to Kahului I'll stay here again. written 8/12/2012

Under-rated
This year I've stayed at 5 hotels in Waikiki, two in Seattle, and one in Portland, and this was the best of them all. I read some terrible reviews for this hotel, but for the price, I could not pass it up. Turned out to be the best choice. The hotel was conveniently located five minutes from the airport, along the coast, easy to find and navigate from. The parking was free and plentiful, which is already more than every hotel I've been to. I arrived significantly earlier than I thought I would, but they let me check in anyway, and with an upgrade since it was the only room available that early! Staff was extremely courteous and made me feel like an appreciated customer. The room was extremely clean, and while the hotel looks old, the room seemed renovated by professionals. The shower had adjustable height/settings and with hose, the tub was clean enough that I took a bubble bath. No cigarette stains, no marks, no smells, no issues. Room had high speed internet, LCD tv, while just down the hall was an indoor pool, breakfast buffet, and fitness room. The AC was a little louder than expected, but it was so comfortable I fell right asleep. The breakfast buffet was a little expensive at first, but was reasonable once I saw the prices on the rest of Maui. To think this was the cheapest option!! I am definitely staying here on my next visit.

Drag race weekend
Very good location right in town on ocean front. Clean rooms but dated. Toilet small needs upgrading but will rent again because it is in a very convenient location.

Island hopping
It was an ok place to stay. The beds were a bit hard but it was clean. A short walk to the beach was nice. Our TV got really poor reception.
