Maui Beach Hotel

We had already stayed in a condo for the previous two weeks, with our adult children. Needed one additonal night before boarding the plane the next day. The hotel was old and the room and bath were very small for 4 adults. It served its purpose.

Unfriendly check in, lousey air condintioning, turned it off every time we left the room, food lousey. Was supposed to be free breakfast and had to pay!

Everything about this hotel is substandard including the old, uncomfortable bed, tacky furnishings, noisy airconditioner and cheap linens. But the worse part is the attitude of the front desk staff. During my unexpected 4 day stay there while a relative was hospitalized down the street, I never once encountered an efficient, friendly, courteous or professional staff member. My reservations were repeatedly lost so I was forced to relocate to another room several times. I had purchased several perishable items to take to my hospitalized relative, which were promptly stolen out of the refrigerator in my room by the housekeeping staff. No apologies or restitution was offered, I couldn't even get the Manager to return my calls! It was noisy at night in the rooms and hallways and a large group of men were loitering in the parking lot late one night. I did not feel safe at all. And what hotel these days does not have free coffee on the premises. The Maui Beach does not offer it in the room or even in the lobby. However, you are allowed to purchase a cup from the front desk staff if you are lucky enough to get their attention behind the counter. This place is a rip off in more ways than one. If you do stay here, I recommend you don't leave anything that you mind having stolen from your room while you are out.

The pictures are deceptive. I would not stay here for the price or for the last resort if you want the feel of Maui. No way! The bar is not open often unless there is aprivate party in the hotel. Same food served buffet style every day. Airport and traffic noise.

This hotel was Ok but someone hit my renter car in there parking lot of there hotel and dont stop. I with to the hotels manager and he dont care all he said is " in this part of the parking lot we dont have camera Sorry" How you dont have camera over looking all your hotel and parking lot. hate this hotel.

This hotel was clean and the staff was friendly, but the pool closed at 5pm because they served dinner then. The breakfast was too expensive and always the same. And what kind of hotel does not have COFFEE free and in the lobby.

As a vacationer I found this hotel lacking. The room was OK but the halls and the Garden were sterile. I missed having a morning cup of coffee which was only available by going to the restaurant and paying a premium price. Hotel location was more suited for business clients and probable better met those needs.

At the time of booking with Orbitz, I was not able to request rooms with two beds in each room because there were 4 of us staying there (my husband and our two adult children). We called the hotel 3 days prior to arrival to request this and were assured that it would be as requsted. However, when we checked in, we were not given those rooms. They claimed that we had been "upgraded to a deluxe room" and if we wanted a room with two beds, we would have to stay in different areas of the hotel which would have been an inconvenience for our family. They finally accomodated us by giving us a roll-away in one of the very tiny rooms. Another inconvenience was checking in: We arrived at 2 pm hoping to get into our rooms, but were told that our rooms were NOT ready and we had to wait till 3 pm. Unfortunately, we had a funeral to attend at 3 pm and ended up changing in the car and a public bathroom!

We moved from a resort hotel to this hotel because it was close to the airport and we were leaving early the next AM. First we noticed the TV didn't work. A maintenance person came to our room, removed something, but never came back with the correct part. Then, we turned on the A/C because the room was too warm. The A/C was very loud, and when it was on, the room got too cold, and when it switched off, the room got too hot. The mattresses were too hard and the pillows too thin. And we could hear the people in the next room and in the hallways during the night.

The location of the hotel was excellent. The amenities were basic. I would appreciate if we could adjust the water pressure and temperature for the shower. The walls were thin so I could hear quest talking in the hallway. The air conditioning made so much noise that I was not able to sleep very well.
