Under-rated
This year I've stayed at 5 hotels in Waikiki, two in Seattle, and one in Portland, and this was the best of them all. I read some terrible reviews for this hotel, but for the price, I could not pass it up. Turned out to be the best choice. The hotel was conveniently located five minutes from the airport, along the coast, easy to find and navigate from. The parking was free and plentiful, which is already more than every hotel I've been to. I arrived significantly earlier than I thought I would, but they let me check in anyway, and with an upgrade since it was the only room available that early! Staff was extremely courteous and made me feel like an appreciated customer. The room was extremely clean, and while the hotel looks old, the room seemed renovated by professionals. The shower had adjustable height/settings and with hose, the tub was clean enough that I took a bubble bath. No cigarette stains, no marks, no smells, no issues. Room had high speed internet, LCD tv, while just down the hall was an indoor pool, breakfast buffet, and fitness room. The AC was a little louder than expected, but it was so comfortable I fell right asleep. The breakfast buffet was a little expensive at first, but was reasonable once I saw the prices on the rest of Maui. To think this was the cheapest option!! I am definitely staying here on my next visit.

We stayed for only one night, it was ok. We didnt get to walk around and see the hotel, but maybe next time we will.

Maui beach hotel is a great hotel. As a local the location and prices are pretty reasonable. Much of the staff is great...Tesse at the front desk is just wonderful!! Housekeeping is very friendly. Mahalo

great staff!!!
For the few days I was there, the location is great. But its the staff that really makes the difference. From check in to check out and just so happens it was the same clerk. Service was awesome and housekeeping very hard working. Very friendly!! : ) mahalo

It's ok for the price.
the room was not clean, and smelly. The buffet there was terrible. Its location is close to airport but far away from most attractions.

Hawaiian Pono
Maui Beach 12-20 to 12-23-12
Hotel room had nice decor and beds are being replaced with new ones. Hotel was recently purchased by Aqua chain and has more funds to work with therefore, new things are happening for them. Staff needs to be taught service oriented and polite to customers while passing though halls, etc. The hotel is in the heart of shopping and near airport, with beach access and nice senic surroundings. Laundry room, free internet access in room, night club sometimes and small restaurant. Most of the time price of room is one of the best deals on Maui. Hotel is miles away from the popular resort areas, car iis recommended because public transportation is limited.

A night in Maui
A reasonable hotel, wuithout any frills, such as coffee in the room. The bar and restaurant closed very early, which was surprising for the holiday season.
