Fun time for all!!!!!

We had a great time. The hotel room does show some wear, but that can be expected with the climate. If you stay here please make sure to take care of the environment. THe North Shore is a wonderful place and needs to be taken care of.

Great all around experience!

Turtle Bay offers a great location on the North Shore away from all the Honolulu chaos. The rooms are spacious and all have an ocean view. We were upgraded at check-in to an upper floor deluxe room. All the on-site amenities are great: 5 miles of beaches, good snorkeling and surfing, great pool, spa, variety of restaurants with good food, horse back riding, helicopter tour rides, two outstanding golf courses, and affordable resort shopping. Located nearby are: the Polynesian Cultural Center, great North Shore surfing (large waves in the winter) but calmer snorkeling and diving (in the summer), farms with freshly raised shrimp, vegetables, and fruit sold roadside, and peaceful beautiful scenery. The service is outstanding for all facets of this hotel. This is the BEST relaxation and fun we've found in a hotel recently - go enjoy it!

Try the fresh roadside Kahuku shrimp and corn on the cob just a couple of miles east of the hotel. The drive down beach side country road east of the hotel is beautiful and fun. Snorkeling was good at narby beaches. Waimea Bay beach and falls should not be missed.

Beautiful and relaxing

If you want to go to Hawaii to relax and be far away from tons of tourists, Turtle Bay Resort is the place for you! It's a 45-minute drive to the hustle and bustle of Honolulu or Waikiki, and 20 minutes from Hale'iwa, the famous North Shore surfing town. The private beach at Turtle Bay Resort is quiet and relaxing, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. My favorite part of the hotel room is the sliding glass doors; I slept with them open every night to hear the sound of the ocean. I will definitely stay at Turtle Bay Resort the next time I go to Oahu!! Be sure to rent a car if you stay here, so you can drive to tourist attractions all around the island.

Good Family Resort

We stayed at this resort for 1 night ... But let me list my observations.. - This place is some 35 miles from the HNL airport and at least 1 hr drive from there . The directions are pretty simple once u are out of the airport area - You can visit the Dole Plantation on ur way to the hotel !! That is a good 2 - 3 hrs fun visit . Lunch time is a good place to be at Dole. Pineapple icecream is pretty good. - The Resort does NOT have much real beach of its own or very nearby. The resort has a lagoon - which is ideal for kids with very gentle waves. But otherwise beachs are scarce and are mostly coral . That makes the beaches useless for swimming etc. - The resort itself is very good and with good pools & restaurents. - Pool towel service is a nice feature. u can get free pool towels - This place is only 15 mins drive from Polynesian center. If u plan to visit this from Waikki beach area - it will be at least 90 mins drive from there. Polynesian center is a good place to visit and needs minimum 1 full day. With the evenning show a must. The tickets at the center are Valid for 3 days - so u can plan / split accordingly - Valet service is $10 + Resort Fees is $20 .. but good value for money - Does have a wedding chapel and a nice area around it Overall it is a nice resort !!

Great Getaway

We loved TurtleBay Resort! It was a great vacation and both my son's whom are in their early twenties enjoyed themselves as well. Plenty to do for all ages; surfing, horseback riding, snorkeling, exploring the island, etc.. The food was always fresh and really good! Drinks poolside were great, a bit expensive but hey, well worth it! We will certainly try to go again!
