Great place to stay!!!!

Resort was very nice. Most everyone working there was very helpful with info. We reported a problem with the 2nd line on the phone that was not fixed when we left. Restaurants were very nice. Great one by the pool for lunch. The best was Lei Lei's on the golf course. The helicopter ride (1 Hour) was the best thing we did. The biggest negative was too many crying kids.

People who have walking difficulties definitely need to ask for wheel chair assistance. We could not find a parking place within a mile of Pearl Harbor so we left. We were able to have a valet take us to the golf course restaurant and the heliport in a golf cart which was great.

great place to stay

very nice overall. The dining at breakfast and lunch was good. Dinner was another story, very limited menu, no changing of the menu the chef did not allow, eat what they made or eat elsewhere. so we ate dinner out in town.

Turttle Bay

Great Location to get away fro the city life on Honolulu. A little disappointed in the type of bed we received we got a room with two queens, when the reservations said either a queen or king, we were never ask to upgrade of offerred the King Size bed. Better call and tell them what you want, to get one reserved.

Excellent

As normal in almost all hotels, we were given an inferior room at check-in. It was on the second floor and a building blocked 70% of the view. It was Ocean Front but if you can't see the ocean, is it really? A visit to the front desk resulted in a top floor with a wonderful view. The view was so good we watched whales playing offshore. The bedding was very comfortable. The room was okay otherwise and lacked a comfortable chair or sofa and there was room for one. The mini-fridge came in handy. We dined at Lei-Lei's. Good service and food. We also dined at Olas. Good service and food with a great view. Leonardo's had good food but the service was not great. Barely adequate. It seems the staff was inexperienced. Probably a North Shore problem getting and keeping good staff. The worse service by far was in the Bay Club. It was not designed for serving food but as a bar. The food came across the hotel and was greatly delayed. It caused a major headache for the servers with the resulting poor service. It is just poor design not bad people. Hang10, the pool bar was fun but very windy during our stay. The staff in the hotel was great. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Location, location, location. Did I mention the location is magnificent?

Beautifil couples getaway. Spectacular

Our trip was absolutely amazing. The Turtle Bay Resort was more beautiful around every corner. The staff could not have been nicer. The tsunami scare was handled we thought in a very orderly manor. This was one of our best vacations the best view we have ever had. The hotel was very helpful in booking and locating excursions we did. Food is a little pricey but with a car there were lots of other options and beautiful spots to see. Hawaii is a magnificent place.

Beautiful setting

We enjoyed the beach, the beautiful setting and we traveled to other sites on the island. The only things that could have improved our stay was if there was one dining facility on the property that was more casual and less expensive and if the room had a microwave. Maybe there was a casual, less expensive dining place and we just didn't find it.

March 2011

The hotel was in an amazing location with terrific views. I had lived in Hawaii for several years and I would only stay on the North Shore. If you've never been to Hawaii, I'd say to stay at Waikiki just for the experience, but if you want a more relaxing, laid back vacation, then Turtle Bay is the way to go.

Best place in hawaii

Paradise on earth. We were so glad that we booked on the north shore instead of waikiki. Everything about turtle bay is magical from the minute you walk up to the resort. Staff is very friendly and choice of restaurants is great. The views from the resort of the ocean is awesome. Can't wait to book for next year.

"I'm ready to go again"

We just got home and already planning to return next year! Such a beautiful setting, very relaxing. I had a great morning kayaking with sea turtles, and we both enjoyed a whale watching excursion. I have to say one of the hightlights of each day was watching the sunset with other guests. A magical time!
