Have fun while you save at this central Waikiki hotel
Waikiki Sand Villa is centrally located in Waikiki, two blocks from the best stretch of beach. A nice surprise, the hotel offers value and serious amenities. Expect free in-room high-speed Internet, complimentary continental breakfast, a 70-foot swimming pool with Jacuzzi, fitness center, mini business center, mini spa and a hospitality room with computers, TV and massage chairs (fees apply). A good family vacation
The hotel was very reasonable for the price, plain but very reasonable. The kitchen in our suite was small, but serviceable, and we made a trip to the goodwill store to add to our cooking tools. As a result, we were able to make meals that were tasty and met our dietary needs. We were within easy walking distance to Waikiki Beach, but just far enough away to make it a quiet place to stay. The grocery store was a 2 block walk, the beach and main shopping street 3 blocks away. If you don't want to pay for an on-the-beach hotel, this one was a pretty good alternative. I would stay here again.

It's a place to sleep.
It met our need for two nights. Beds are not comfortable, and valet is required. If a hotel requires valet, then it needs to staff more than one person at the valet desk-wait times for the car were unacceptable (sometimes 10+ minutes). Easy walking distance to shopping, restaurants, and the beach.

the size of the room is cozy. the view from the balcony, of the canal and golf course, and the city beyond was fantastic by day and night. Location was also great, a short walk to the beach. Room kept clean, and the staff was pleasant. Bar, and cafe food also very good. Good "aloha" spirit, and a great value for the money.

extra friendly hotel staff
The hotel staff was very friendly, I've never stayed in a hotel where the house keepers were so nice. They always greeted you with at least a good morning. Rooms were clean and comfortable. If city noise keeps you awake you might want to find a different location. We would stay there again. How ever skip the bar/ restaurant the food was not that great and the mixed drinks were very weak.

Good, but might have been better
My spouse and I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights. The staff was friendly and ready to help. It is a 5-minute walk from the Waikiki beach to the hotel. One of the things we did not like is the breakfast included in the room price. It consisted of a couple of toasts and a ban. I would not pay for such a breakfast at all and would prefer to have it elsewhere. Plastic covers under the bed sheets did not add to comfort either. We payed $105 per night for a standard room. We think that about $85 would be a fair price.

If you are interested in grocery shopping then Food Pantry located nearby would be a good place to go. It will save you some money compared to costly ABC stores.

Great !
My friend and I had a lovely stay here! The rooms are nice, got the basics and gets cleaned every day. The pool and Hot tub is great! The hotel is located 5 min walk from the beach and you are close to all the stores and markets! The staff was very friendly ! Always trying to help out and always smiling and welcoming you with a Aloha or good morning :) Very pleased with this place ! Would definitely come back ! :)

Excellent for the price, location and amenities
Excellent location. Just 5 to 7 mins walk to Waikiki beach. At Hawaii, you do not need too much amenities in the room as you would be spending most of the time outside. The room, bed and bath are very clean. The wiki-wiki breakfast isnt great, but you cannot complain also (Toast with butter/jam, coffee/tea, juice, croissant and pineapple slices). Excellent staff at front desk - very helpful. They also have a tour desk. The best part is the hospitatlity room which has TV, shower, free internet that can be used after your checkout.
