Nice hotel
The hotel was clean and we loved the natural and modern decor. The staff were helpful and friendly although all very young. The pool area was great and the food in the bar and Morimotos restaurant all very good but very expensive. The location was reasonably convenient but homeless people everywhere. We are in our early 50's and did not feel out of place but I would say it is more of a young person's hotel, especially in the evenings.

Awesome place to stay!
The staff were super friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and neat, with an updated look (unlike other hotels around). My room overlooked the pools and the harbor, which was a gorgeous view to wake up to. On the evenings during the weekend, the live band could be heard playing when I opened my window- very soothing and wonderful to listen to while getting ready for dinner. It's a great place to stay for young professionals, and I would definitely come back again if I make another trip out to Honolulu.

Great birthday.
After checking out if my 1st hotel and arriving at the modern I felt like this is what I was expecting at the 1st ( I checked into the 1st took a shower and checked out) the staff was amazing from the time we got to vallet. Very attentive to your needs. The room was great. They gave great recombinations for what I asked for. Concierge remembered when my bday was. Going down by the pool the staff was there for everything you needed. I would come back from a long day ice would be in the room with bottles of water waiting. They tried to figure out what you needed before you even needed it. I would stay here again and recommend that other people stay here. And I tend to stay at a le meridian and hotels like that when i travel and this place was amazing.

Not your average Honolulu/Waikiki resort
We had a great time at this hotel. If you prefer smaller more intimate, boutique like hotels compared to humongous resorts with tons of people and shops and tourists walking around the lobby then you should consider this place. It is a walk from all the major hotels along the beach but that's another reason why we enjoyed it so much. There are also two pools. one for adults which is not really a pool more of a wading pool and an everyone pool where most everyone stays. Although we prefer not to be around children, the everyone pool was were the action was (not that there was much, but more so) and you could actually take a real dip, so that is were many hours reading and sun bathing were spent. The staff everywhere was great and super attentive. The nightly turn down service where they bring two bottles of water was also a nice touch. Also- Morimoto's restaurant is in the hotel and we were there 3 times over the course of our 5 day stay. The food was amazing and it was great to finally go to one of his restaurants. True it was expensivebut we are from NYC and have been to Hawaii before so were prepared for the prices.
