honeymoon stay
we did not have to have a car here as I understand the parking is not cheap. We visited pearl harbor and would have had a better time had we known the hotel staff could have hooked us up with anything on the island. When we did go thru the hotel it was great and they answered every question with better rates than I expected. Taxi was a ripoff and we found shuttles and trolleys the way to go. There is every kind of shopping available with in trolley distance. The laundry room was hot and expensive but right there on our floor so we could clean up before we travelled home. Food Courts with any variety of dining are with in walking distance. If we can, we will do it again at this hotel on one of our anniversaries.

Money-saving tip:
Short walk from hotel
Because of the great amount of trafic at any time of year there, the trolleys are the way to go to any shopping. Would recommend checking out the trolleys and even sightseeing with a trolley guide. The most helpful thing we did for the 8 days we were there. Any type of trolley was available right outside the hotel.

Nice Hotel, Great Location
This hotel was recently renovated so all was new and clean. We had oceanfront rooms and could see the turtles from our lanai and also the nightly torch lighting ceremony. Staff was helpful and friendly. [...]

Hawaii's newest lover
Sheraton Waikiki was beyond amazing!!!
This was our first time in Hawaii so we didn't know what to expect. We stayed for 6 days and 5 nights and it was way more than I could ever imagine. Hotel was beautiful, staff was great, location 5 stars and the beach and surrounding stores/shops were the best ever. We will be back to Hawaii next year, maybe Maui!

Re-checking in for the second time not so great, trying to explain that we paid for a two bed room didn't fly .Hotel was sold out for the week and the option was one king size bedā¦.I was very upset and disappointed by this, but in the end everything worked out we got our room at The Royal Hawaiian great place/So I guess they did take care of the problem.

Great view from balcony
The best part of the trip would have to be the Mai Tai's at the Rumfire bar. Expensive, but worth it. Happy hour is from 4-6 daily. Good deals.

Great location, too many little problems
The room was small - no easy chair to sit and relax - had to hang out on beds ... I had upgraded our room and got free Internet which I needed for some business. I was on the phone 2x with IT personnel for more than an hour to try to get my PC online and had problems every day with it. Then, I was notified by Wells Fargo that someone was trying to access my bank account which I had viewed on PC in the room on the first night of our stay. I reported it to staff during check-out and they didn't seem to care - no response - no nothing ... I should have at least been reimbursed the $25.00/night Internet fee. Also, our transportation to Polynesian Cultural Center was mixed up so we had to take a taxi to get there where our tickets were. STRESSful vacation - glad to be HOME!

Shopping tip:
Short walk from hotel
About 1 1/2 blocks 'away from the ocean @ Waikiki' is an upstairs nail salon - we got a steal with a french manicure and hand-painted pedicure for only $40 - compared to $95 at hotel! Definitely worth the short walk - and great, local peeps!

Great Place to stay!
Beautiful hotel and very friendly staff. The only complaints we had was that there was no chair in the room (sitting on the bed is not very comfortable) and there was no microwave. Also, every year that we've been there before, they have had nightly Hawaiian entertainment. This year, the nightly entertainment was modern music, and the entertainers were located where only the dining room people could see them. Everyone else had to look at their backs.

The ABC store, just across from the entrance sells cups of coffee, breakfast pastries, soups, and sandwiches for MUCH less money than anywhere else.
