Nice location but very unclean

The good: great location, new big screen TV, small bar fridge, fairly comfortable bed The bad: very unclean, poor housekeeping, very overpriced, similar to a hostel. For my vacation dollar, I would stay elsewhere. The level of uncleanliness was shocking (gray, dirty curtains with blood stains, layers of soap scum in shower, rust and soap scum in sink, grout in bathroom very dirty, black scuff marks on walls, dirty floors)

Hotel in renovation galore !

Unfortunately, I happened to be staying in this hotel while they were undertaking major renos. For four nights, I could not get on the lanai (not even open the door to the balcony)... the room was stuffy, and the smell coming through from the renos done on the balcony gave a major headache. Finally after complaining to the staff, one of them was very helpful and put me in a upgraded room (for people with handicaps)... no bathtub... just a shower... but it was not so bad as I was upgraded with a full view of the ocean. I believe that the hotel should not have allowed guests to stay in rooms with no access to the lanai or the least they should have done is informed the guests ahead of time... because, if I had been informed ahead of time I would have booked my vacations somewhere else.

Rooms walls are too thin

I couldn't sleep the entire night because the guy next door which is connected by a door was snoring and it sounded like it was in the bed with me. The TV didn't work well, and there were too many sounds because the walls are too thin. Tiny room, not good for more than one perosn. Nice to have the water near by and Sturbucks, but thats about it.

Nice affordable hotel at end of Waikiki Beach

This was a nice, clean no-frills hotel for the price. It is at the east end of the Waikiki Beach area. Very quiet location but within walking distance to all the nice Honolulu restaurants, stores and clubs.

Walk west along Waikiki Beach and there are lots of beachfront restaurants to enjoy. I especially enjoyed Duke’s Canoe Club for reasonable prices, good food and a nice view.

Location... Location... Location...

I love the location next to Queen Kapiolani Park. It provides a nice greenbelt to get away from the rest of Waikiki. It is nice to look out at Diamond Head and the ocean. Room was small, but I enjoyed spending time on the balcony. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice pool with lots of sun throughout the day.

A relaxing stay!

The Park Shore was just OK. It was a little rundown but being right on Waikiki Beach is a major plus!! The rooms are small and not updated. Carpets and drapes defintely not in the best shape. However I was close to all the action and the beautiful beach is right across the street. I tried LuLu's it was great also tried the Mariott buffet it was average and tried Dukes Canoe Club had a great time. Overall stay at the park shore for convience and location and not luxury. Also get a rental car and take tours there is so much to see besides Waikiki beach.

Great deal

Amazing location practically on the beach. Pool gets lots of sun. Rooms are ok, but you don't go to Hawaii to spend time in the rooms. Balconies on cheap rooms are practically nonexistent; more expensive rooms with views have usable balconies.
