Awesome as usual!

Park Shore is awesome. The staff is incredible and extremely accomodating. Nick at the front desk was even willing to give us a ride during his lunch break to go get food! I will always stay at Park Shore. ABC store in the lobby, Lulu's downstairs. Beach across the street and you can get to most places in the area in a cab for $5-$10. Pool on 2nd floor.

The room that I was in didn't have a microwave but that;s not a problem as they have a very clean "community" microwave in the vending area that's open to guests 24/7 with your room key.

Great Value for the Money in Waikiki

The Hotel room was clean, hotel staff helpful, there was a nice view of the beach from the pool. Valet parking was nice to have but would like to have had regular free parking available. For the cost it was a great value and we could easily walk to the beach, the Zoo is across the street as is nice park and boardwalk. Trolley's and buses can get you around so easily tht you hardly need a car at all. Room had a microwave, frig, coffee maker. They are remodeling and getting WeFi over the next year throughout the hotel, At present it is only on the first 3 floors. There is a travel agent in the lobby that was very helpful and you can walk through the lobby to a convenience store without going outside.

My review of Park Shore Waikiki

The Park Shore was very well located ,across the street from the beach. The service is great. The only downfall ,that I saw, was the hallways were very worn and the rooms furniture and carpeting very outdated. Overall the hotel was a very good value and we had a pleasant stay.

Location Location Location

The Park Shore is an older hotel that requires a little refurbishing, i.e. replace mats in elevators, paint concrete area around the swimming pool area, and minor touch-ups here & there. Our room was clean and comfortable and the A/C worked well. Location is the main selling feature of this hotel. Your directly across the road from Waikiki Beach with an unobstructed view of the both the Beach Area, Kapiolani Park, the Honolulu Zoo & the Diamond Head Crater. View from the third floor pool overlooks the Ocean & Diamond Head. A number of bus routes stop right outside the hotel's front door and many restaurants are located within a short walking distance and offer a good variety of dinning options at affordable prices.

Waikiki Crossroads

Park Shore was a very good choice for us.THe room was not large but ample enough for two with a great deck. Location is right across the street from the beeach, zoo, park, and surrounded by shopping and restaurants. This is a great site for people watching but this comes with traffic noise and party music and sounds of bustling about. I plan on returning in a couple of months.

Great location budget hotel; value for your $$

We stayed at the Park Shore many many years ago when there was still a Denny's on the second floor and we wanted to see if it was still the same. Well, Denny's is no longer there but everything else is somewhat the same, including the low price for a hotel room. For the price, it's a great deal. The pool (not the biggest and never crowded)facing Waikiki Beach was great; it's a little noisy though because of the traffic and the local bus stopping every 10 minutes (that's where your ipod will come in handy!). The rooms aren't big, expect around 200-250 sq. ft but you never spend time in the room anyways. It's at the very end of Kalakaua Avenue next to the park and zoo so, it's good exercise to walk along the path, even up until Ala Moana Blvd. Everything is close by, even an ABC store in the lobby (fyi there are 37 ABC stores in Waikiki alone and most hotels have one inside or close by). Hans Hendeman surfing school right outside, Lulu's restaurant (great food) is now on the second floor. Starbucks, Wolfgang Puck, Subway, etc. are a few steps away and the best part, the beach is directly across the street. You don't need to spend money on an ocean front hotel. Save it on souvenirs! It would be great to have an ocean view or ocean front room, as these have lanai's with a small table and 2 chairs whereas the cityview rooms only have a standing balcony. There are also pool side lanai rooms on the second floor and you open your sliding door and the pool is right outside your door. There are only a handful of those rooms. Expect to pay $20 plus tax for parking, the going rate for hotel parking in Waikiki. All the staff were okay, and helpful. All in all, I would definitely recommend the Park Shore Hotel and look forward to returning again soon.

Superb location for the cost

Park Shore is situated at the quieter Diamond Head end of Waikiki across from the Kapiolani park and the zoo and a short walk from the Aquarium. The hotel has a wonderful open air lobby, nicely decorated and the desk staff were helpful and courteous. This is not a new hotel and the elevators could be spruced up a bit but the room was comfortable and always cleaned well before noon each day. The ocean view rooms look out onto Waikiki beach which is literally just across the road. All the rooms have a coffee maker - the coffee is free - and a small fridge. There is a Starbucks just outside the entrance to the hotel as well as a restaurant - Lulu's which opens at 7:00 a.m. and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with good food and generous portions. All the high end shops in Waikiki are just a short stroll away and The Bus stops right outside the hotel and the free trolleys passes within a block of the hotel. This is my second visit to Park Shore and for the money and the location it is well worth a visit.

Great location, Bad food

The room (at least ours) was on the small size (had a double bed) but the view more than made up for it. An un-obstructed view of waikki beach and diamond head beach each morning was quite nice. Its also located just across the street from the Honolulu zoo. A bus stop at the curb can ferry you to Hanuama bay for $2 per person one way. If your looking for a reasonable place to crash but plan on spending most of your time elsewheres (i.e. on the beach etc) than the price of the Park Shore is very appealing. Be warned however that LuLu's restaurant and grill (on the second floor of the hotel) has some of the worst food I think I've ever had, and definitely the worst that we tried on the island. Seek elsewhere for food!

Spectacular Location

The Park Shore Waikiki is located at the end of hotel row across from the zoo and the park. Our ocean view room also provided a breathtaking view of Diamondhead from the small terrace. Valet parking was extra $20/day but well worth it. Conveniences and shopping were close by. A second floor restaurant served breakfast, lunch and dinner and had a lovely open air viewof the beach. Nearby hotels offered nitelife. Concierage was by a private contractor and quite helpful. The staff was most courteous and helpful. The lobby, pool and other common areas were modern and well maintained. Our room was tiny and dated. The bathroom, shower only, was barely large enough for one person. Everything was clean but well worn. Some common amenities such as toothpaste and extra hangers were unavailable. Overall a great location, excellent service, fair comfort and reasonably priced.

good place poor staff

location, location, location. its best to check the high parking add-on and not to ask much of the desk staff. they were border line rude at times to us and others. on the up side free or cheap parking is close by and the beach and island bus is easy to figure out. if you don't drive... so you don't have to ask hotel staff much anyway

My review of Park Shore Waikiki

MY EXPERIENCE AT THE PARK SHORE WAIKIKI WAS GREAT. THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME VACATIONING IN HAWAII AND MY OVERALL TRIP WAS EXCELLENT. THE HOTEL WAS PERFECTLY LOCATED DIRECTLY ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE BEACH. ALTHOUGH I PAID FOR A CITY VIEW ROOM I HAD A GREAT VIEW OF THE OCEAN AS WELL. THE BEDS WERE COMFORTABLE AND IT WAS VERY CLEAN. THE HOTEL STAFF WAS GREAT. I COULDN'T ASK FOR A BETTER VACATION. I WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.
