Pretty Good

Waikiki is a crazy place at times, but this Hotel can ease some of that. Being on the edge and overlooking the park gives you access to the beach and an escape from the madness. We took the Ocean View room - you pay a little more but you get a better room/view. The folks are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, quiet and large enough for me and my kid. The beds were comfortable. I checked in before I turned in my rental car, but they let me park out front during the process eventhough there is only space out front for 3 cars at most. The pool is small but the Ocean is right there. The street noise could be bothersome - I was on the 9th floor on 4th of July weekend on Waikiki - so its understandable. The restaurant/bar on the ground floor might want to keep it down late at night, but shouldn't be an issue on higher floors. All in all, a great place if you get a good room. Pay more for it and you won't be sorry.

grear place for the money

The Park Shore at Waikiki as awhole was a very nice place, The rooms were big and the view from the partial ocean view room was amazing. The bed was not the most comfortable as they only had queen's available at the time of check in. For the short time that you actually stay in the room my wife and I had not complaints. The bathroom's could have had more sink counter space and storage for personal things that we bought on our stay was not enough. The location of the hotel was in a great spot. It is at the end of the busy strip that everyone travels, so that made it easy to get in and out of with our rental car. It was a wonderful service and the valet staff was excellent.

Great vacation location

Park Shore is a very reasonably priced hotel. It is the last hotel on the beach strip, before Diamond Head. What great views and everything you need, at the beach, is right at your finger tips. A leisurely stroll takes you to and through the famous International Market Place, through all the great Waikiki hotels and shopping galore. And what a place to learn to surf or just play on the great sandy beach. The hotels' pool is on the small size, but is located on the 2nd floor overlooking the beach, so if you are a pool person, you can do your thing while still keeping your eye on all the excitement on the beach. The hotel is very clean and well maintained.

Park Shore views allow you to see not only the beautiful ocean, but everything that is happening, sail boats, surfers, snorklers, dug out canoes, ruise ships, fire works at night and of course, a great view of Diamond Head.

Good Locaction

This hotel, Is in a great location. Right at the end of Waikiki Beach and easy access out to the freeways, zoo, and Diamond Head. The hotel was overal just ok to me. It's very old and needed alot of upgrades, there were scratches, dents and stains all over our room. The room was small and cramped, the Lani was big but dirty (don't go out in your bear feet or you will be all black). The bathroom was really small too. Everything else about the hotel was fine. Nothing extravagent and probably wouldn't stay there again.

Shopping tip: Short walk from hotel

There is shopping right outside the hotel and all the way down the street. Dinning is just a short walk or you can eat in one of the two resturants in the hotel. You can even walk across the street to the zoo or to Diamond Head. It really is a great location for a hotel.

Great Location

A comfortable hotel located right across the street from a great swimming area, boogie boarding, and volleyball. The park was on one side of the hotel and there were several activities there that we enjoyed for free (a Lei Day fair and a concert)

Location excellent; rooms small

The location is excellent; the staff is very friendly and helpful. However, parking is inconvenient (valet only) and the rooms are small and tight.
